Terradyne Gurkha

Has anyone else been under the assumption the Gurkha was the car jumping between skyscrapers in F&F 7? I decided to google it after seeing a 16.499lb weight rating in manteomax’s spreadsheet. RIP to lobbies that this thing can be upgraded into(hopefully Leagues keeps these out of professional races). Should be fun vehicle come Horizon 3, but might be the new lobby menace.

Thoughts?

Dear God…
Help us…
A High HP gallardo or R8 were already problems in lobbies with people crashing…
This thing will just kill people…

First thoughts? Awesome. Second thoughts? Amazing fun! Third thoughts, who cares with MP? Serious MP racers will keep the trouble down excluding such vehicles, but to have something as fun as this in the game is fantastic, and hopefully, is a sign to come for DLC to include even more one off vehicles like this for there own event and race catagories!

This is a vehicle that has to be fully upgraded just to move up to being incredibly slow. Anyone that pulls this out in a lobby is there to spectate as they certainly won’t be racing.

Personally I don’t know what good could come of having a vehicle like that in a Motorsport game but hey, who am I to judge? Sure will shake things up a bit to see that beast on the track during a race, especially if the driver intends on trolling with it.

When I first saw this made it into FM6, I immediately thought it was a wrecker’s dream come true.

And just an FYI, the car jumping between skyscrapers is the Lykan Hypersport.

Thoughts? Doesn’t that belong in a Horizon game?

Will it get much use, sure by trolls racing in the opposite direction attempting to wreck people but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. On a more positive note, it’s slower than the hummer and the Ford trucks so…

One problem I have with it though…the chase camera is too low lol, you can’t even see over the top of the vehicle haha oh dear, check it out (mild spoilers? meh, it’s a vehicle):

Looks and sounds awesome even if it will only go like 70mph xD! However that chase camera is a serious issue seeing as it doesn’t even clear the roof…eek, not sure if T10 realised just how TALL it stands

However this will be so fun to mess around with it and upgrade it different ways, love a good diesel engine again so glad to have another one in the game :).

I wonder what kind of races we can enter this into, looks like it’ll be a load of fun though :D.

Doesn’t matter if you get hit by 1000lbs, or 20000lbs. Either way you end up in a wall, so in reality I’d much prefer someone try to wreck me in that thing than a Ford Cortina, Lotus Elise, etc.

Double Post

Seems a bit out of place in FM6, not complaining about its inclusion, but I don’t tend to race the big lumbering beasts.

I never mistook this for the flying Lykan Hypersport from F&F 7 though.

Of course none of you Philistines ever read into The F&F series. I figured it was that truck, and is one of, if not, the stupidest addition into the Forza series.

Stupidest, or best?

Keep in mind some of the other cars that have been added to Forza in the past:

AMC Gremlin and Pacer
Ford Pinto
SMART Fortwo
GMC Vandura
Ford Transit

Most people really appreciated these additions, simply because of the goofy fun you can have with them, and that Forza was the only serious driving game to feature such a thing. I’m excited to see exactly how a military vehicle handles when pushed to its upper limits.

The SMART and the Pinto were actually
Leaderboard cars in Forza Motorsport 4 for a number of Rivals events, most notably those where the Chevrolet Spark and other popular city cars weren’t eligible.

As for the Ghurka, it’s in the game because of a licensing partnership, nothing more. It doesn’t “belong” here but would be great fun in a future Horizon game.

This vehicle won’t even be close to you, it slides on corners at 40mph, slow, unless haha

You’ll be fine online

Well if we’re going by the moniker “Motorsport”, surely only purpose-built race cars belong in the game?

It’s nice to have cars like this in the game, it gives more variety and a bit of a laugh.

I can’t wait to build a handling tune in it and beat some people in lobbies. It is going to be difficult to not get voted out as soon as people see me driving it though. I’ve had some solid lobby tunes and been pretty high on leaderboards with things like the Raptor and Cayenne in the past.

Good luck beating people. Think Hummer, not cayenne or raptor.

This addition is pretty dumb, but so to is the escalade. I think the Escalade will be a more effective wrecker but this monster will still cause havoc. You can’t avoid everything.

I’m going to try it out but it will be used for crashing just like the Hummer. You’ll be able to avoid the thing sometimes; especially if they are waiting on you, but it’ll still be effective. It’s a really dumb addition to the game.
