Telemetry in replay gone

Now the telemetry in replays is gone. I’m assuming this is a new bug as a result of trying to fix other bugs. The drivatars, which I limit to no upgrades & no tunes, are still faster than my bone stock cars. I’ll get a better run on to a long straight & they keep pulling away. I could be wrong, but I don’t remember any updates in FM6 creating more bugs. I wonder if this has something to do with FM7 being released as a console & PC game. So frustrating.

I used telemetry in replays a lot myself. There is no mention of it’s removal in the release notes, but they only claim to have listed improvements and not game degradations LOL.

I’m a huge fan of telemetry in replays. Kinda soothes that part of my brain that feels it needs to analyze everything. Very much wanting it’s return. However the drivatars in my (Xbox One) races are definitely not overpowered in any way, shape, or form. If anything, they’ve gotten stupider. Always play on unbeatable without any kind of restrictions on upgrades or anything and in the race I literally just finished before trying to look into the missing telemetry option (6 laps, Course of the Americas), 2 cars literally spent the entire race jammed against the outside wall of turn 1, seemingly trying to drive through it.

I play on Xbox as well. I only play in free play. If you look at the telemetry of the drivatar cars on the old mulsanne straight they go above the maximum speed listed for that car. Also you notice they pull away from you at the beginning of the race, no matter how good of a start you get. Sure they can’t handle the curves like I can, but they take them well enough that if there is a long straight they just pull away with that extra speed.

So Turn10, was this by accident or design? We await your reply.

The T icon has gone from the menu, so it looks like by design. If so, that’s really bad for tuners until we learn to watch telemetry while driving (live) on the limit.

Has anyone filed a ticket on the support site?

Agreed, and that’s incredibly disappointing. Driving at the limit and watching telemetry are mutually exclusive, and tuning “by the feels” is utterly asinine. Removing telemetry from replays has effectively removed (effective) tuning from the game.

I did.

WHY THOUGH? like seriously? what is the point of removing telemetry? can they do anything right? keep your stupid free cars release a complete game for christ sake. I’m done.

In regarding unbeatable difficulty AI, it’s been known that they made it more challenging by artificial means. At the beginning of the race, all AI cars can have up to HUNDREDS of extra horsepower, then level off every lap so that you can overtake them all before the chequered flag just as if they were set to easy difficulty, thus making you feel…“accomplished.” As far as the removal of telemetry in the replays, I really hope it’s just a bug and not one of the many questionable things Turn 10 has done in order to help performance on the vanilla XboxOne (that I happen to use.)

I am honor bound to report that when I went back into my menu to ensure I was racing at the level I believed myself to be racing… Well, I discovered that at some point, my guess is the recent update, my difficulty settings changed themselves to average. No big deal, right? Kinda, no… Seems that my difficulty settings reset themselves to average after every free play race. Getting pretty damn annoying.

I have not filed a ticket. Between work & family I barely have time to post here, much less file a ticket with support team. If somebody is feeling optimistic, then please do. Let us know what you hear…or don’t hear.

They will have to add it back in as that is how the top guys tune and tweak their driving.
