Hi! I’d like to be on the team. I’ve never been a fan of unrealistic high-hp cars in Forza. I’m really interested in a japanese-inspired club with some background story.
I’m more of a begginer-intermediate drifter, but I’m not bad at drifting with low hp cars. I also really like to design paints and stickers.

I hope you’ll take me on the team

im highly interested in this drifting if you can take me on plz message or add me on Stanci3

MESSAGE TO TEAM VINTAGE JAPAN MEMBERS: I am planning a street meet very soon, i just need to add the prefectures to the forum. Also, the street courses we will be doing for that night.

This is absolutely amazing. Im in love with your vision and am so glad to see you doing this on such a grand scale. I run a small group called unpopular opinion on fh3 and other car games. I wouldnt really call it a team, as its pretty small and were just hanging out. its also really small with only 4 members, and i dont have any intention on expanding out to anyone on the forums. would you be down to let us at unpopular opinion drift with y’all maybe once or twice? we would love to run with you guys as this is similar to the style we run, however you have managed to do it on such a larger scale.

I realy like to join. And i want to be part of this as much as i can. It is going to be a bit of a struggle because i have i child. But i realy love the japanese car/drifting culture and i realy want to do more tandem drifting more often an more serious.

I have run out of characters on the first forum post xD So Cities, Tracks and Team Drifting photos will be posted here.

Japan’s Cities

Yokohama (横浜)

The city of Yokohama is a beautiful place, from the carnival rides. To the towering buildings, lighting up the floor at night. The city is very busy during the day, but VERY quiet during the night. This makes the nightlife of this city very popular amongst all car enthusiasts alike. From car meets, to the drift nights. The city is active all around. Many crowds of people gather around during some nights, as the drifters mongi down the long laned blocks. There is of course some trouble with the Yokohama police, as this is a very populated area after all. Most people don’t call in disturbances, due to these activities being seen a lot in this city. But of course there is the occasional call, or even just the police hearing the noise in general. With this, the drifters or whatever car disturbance just moves somewhere else. With this, it’s not uncommon to see license plates covered. As you never know who may be watching amongst the crowd, or around the corner.

Kyoto (京都)

With Kyoto’s winding roads, to the beautiful mountains that’s west of the city. There always something to explore in this city, as it is kinda quiet but still as ever active. There are narrow pathways at each turn, with many different meeting areas for car gathering. This is why there is a lot of car activity here as well, as police activity in this city is a little bit more scarce. But that does not go without saying, of the drifting activity here. With tight winding roads, and perfect watching places to watch the cars go flying down the road. The drifting activity here is very active, as there are many different challenging roads to keep drifters busy. Often cars would line up and down some of the long blocks of the streets, to watch cars mongi or drift into a turn of a area.

Forza Horizon 3 Mountain Passes

Mt. Kuriabyū (クリアビュー)

Mt. Kuriabyū will leave you breathless every time, as you go down the small hill. To see the city lights easily foreseeable, from where you are. As you go deeper into Mt. Kuriabyū, trees will become more apparent. As they overshadow you from every corner. Blocking a lot of light during the daytime, and making it very dark during the night. This mountain also has a lot of different side touge routes, as well as dirt touge paths. On the mountain’s outskirts, elevation changes is also more apparent. As you find yourself going straight down the mountain more and more rapidly, or more slowly. Depending on which route you take.

Mt. Airo (隘路)

Mt. Ario which is right next to a huge lake and valley. Features many different winding roads, whether it is dirt or asphalt. You have to be very focused, or you will be sliding right off the mountain. Often people are watching drifters go by, from a off road trail that’s almost in the middle of the main touge course. Or sometimes watching drifters going up and down the touge route that’s right next to the main one, but with controversial views of this particular touge route. Due to the route being covered in dirt, flooding on various parts of the course, and very dangerous harpins. This route is rarely seen being drifted by drifters.

Mt. Kōsoku (高速)

Mt. Kōsoku is located right next to a dam, and Japans cable towers. But Don’t be fouled by the huge hill, because of speeds of over 150mph have been reached here. Making it one of the most dangerous touge routes in Japan, and rightfully so. After that huge hill, that road leads up to a large bend. Drifters have reported many crashes, from that first bend. Due to not being able to stop in time, before getting to the bend. Often crowds of people would watch from the dam’s walkways, watching as the cars shoot by before entering the touge route. Due to the high speed bend on the FIRST CORNER. This makes this touge route a very high speed one, making it very dangerous when it rains or at night. As managing your speed through the course becomes very difficult, due to very easy loss of traction or darkness of the corners.

Mt. Orimasu (下ります)

Mt. Orimasu is one of touge drifters favorite spots, and most well know. This Mountain gets its name, from its terrifying descent down the road’s route. As this mountain features one touge route, but it’s very technical and underestimated. Although a short touge route, it is most acclaimed for people sliding and crashing right through the guarid rail. Sliding right down the mountain, to the road at the very bottom. This route also features awkward bends, which there are very long straights in between the bends. Prompting drivers to give a clutch kick, or two. To make it to the top or bottom, of the mountain.

Mt. Misairu (Missile Mountain)

Mt. Misairu is anything but tame, from the blizzards to the stunts that go on here. There is always something to do, as Mt Misairu offers skiing and snow trails to insane stunt shows. There is a stunt park, where snow drifting, stunting and rally racing goes on. With visits of the world famous rally driver Ken Block, this mountain in particular is very popular with the tourists of Japan. In the little towns of Mt. Misairu, some drifting even goes on. As people like watch the low hp and speed slides from there cabins, and homes. Due to the happy community, no tells  In particular, Mt. Misairu really like Christmas. From the decorated lights to the Christmas themed performances, i swear you would think that you were at the North Pole.

DRIFT TRACKS:

  • There are two categories of drift tracks

COURSE DRIFT TRACKS - These drift tracks, are circuit like tracks. These tracks never end, and we can go for hours on end. (These tracks also have rest spots, so you can reset your car)

POINT TO POINT DRIFT TRACKS - These drift tracks, are sprint type tracks. These tracks feature two end points, and we turn around at each end point. (Back and Forth, on the these sprint type courses)

UPCOMING DRIFT MEETS:

Yokohama Drift Meet

Chiba Drift Meet

YEARLY EVENTS:

One of the events in the Matsuri event list, features an offroad drifting event. THE SPRING MATSURI EVENT that’s on MAY 6TH and 7TH, and where the location on Mt. Airo (隘路) TOUGE ROUTE 2 Features a Touge Route that’s on dirt. Due to this, I HIGHLY recommend that you go through the procedure of acquiring your own missile car. As you don’t have to worry about damaging, or getting your own personal car dirty.

More Information on the further down the line events and spring matsuri soon, so get your cars ready. Or book your drift missile now.

This method for acquiring drift missiles, is a choice that is for helping you participate in Offroad Drifting Events and Offroad drifting activity. As there are a lot of people that would not like to use there own personal car.

Here at team Vintage Japan, we love all types of drifting. From fast, slow, or absolutely going for it around corners. Another type of drifting we love, is offroad drifting. That is why we are proud to offroad drifting services. We know that although you may have some interest in offroad drifting, or wondered about it, or Just Want To Try It!!! But due to the worrying problems of using your most precious car to drift, in a very unpredictable environment and surfaces is not in your best interest. This is why we would like to bring you a new way of experancing something awesome, with less worry and cost

Some events that Team Vintage Japan holds, involves offroad drifting. Even one of the Matsuri days, involves a touge route that’s on dirt. Due to this, we would like to explain how offroad drifting will commence under our team rules

WE SUPPLY THE CARS, AND YOU DRIFT THEM!!!

Acquiring your very own Missile Car Procedure:

1 - Choose any Japanese Domestic Market car to buy (Any car that was made form Japan)

2 - Before buying, put in the search description for designs “Missile”, if none of those designs finds your interest. Try some of our other keywords in order to find what your looking for “Drift” “Japan” “JDM” “Japanese”

The theme mostly for matsuri events and drift offroading, is absolutely wreaked to minimum damage looking cars. But you can look for clean looking designs too. If you ultimatly want to make your own missile design, go ahead. BUT DONT DO ANYTHING TO THE UPGRADES

3 - Buy the car (If you want to do your own design this is the time) but when you are done…

4 - Go into load upgrade, and press the search button.

5 - When searching for a missile tune for your car, here are some keywords to try that most of our customers found what they were looking for “Drift” “JDM” “Japan” or any other keyword that relates to drifting.

6 - Once you have your tune, come and DRIFT!!!

Disclaimer: All tunes are provided by doners, or from drift cars that have crashed, and some are even given to us by the track officials of Ebisu. Due to a huge amount car tunes acquired over the last 3 months, there are some tunes that we have that are either not good for the mountain or the handling aspect of the tune is just not the greatest. We just cant test all the cars, as there are WAY too many. This is why we ask you that when you see a suspicious horsepower that’s WAY TOO HIGH (For Ex. 650hp OR MORE), or if you see that a cars drivetrain has been converted into an AWD or is still naturally an AWD, the car is equiped with race tires, or has an V8, BMW ENGINE, OR any other non - Japanese engine. That you do not use these cars, as they do not fit within the team regulations.

Another way to acquire your drift missile:

AUCTION HOUSE:

There has been a lot of side actions selling of drift missiles and just cars in general for drifting. We are not banning this method, because hey maybe there prices are better than ours. But we dont recommend it, because a lot of the cars are either just bone stock or not even for drifting (Circuit Racing). So keep this in mind, and if you show up with a car that is just either way to fast or just absolutely wonkey from the start. We may have to turn you away.

DRIFT MISSILES ARE TOTALLY OPTIONAL, but if you want to use your own personal car for such offroad activities. You absolutely can. I just wanted to provide a new way of acquiring a car, instead of always having to build it up. Its like literally renting or buying a missile from the ebisu missile car lot, as ebisu has many diffent categories of cars to choose from. From “Matsuri Missile” Literally cars that just have an LSD, bucket seats, and an after market suspensio. To “Competition Ready to D1 Street Legal requirements & D1 Spec Machines” which these cars are literally at the highst level cars, and are the same cars you see at at high round making d1 events. All of these choices of cars, is simulated through you buying a tune setup for your car. Its as if you are buying an already pre tuned car. This same action of buying an potentially tuned car, can be performed through the auction house. But it is not recommended, as there category of cars may be for racing or the car may have a stiff setup for drifting.

DRIFT MISSILES ARE UNIVERSAL:

You can use this method for getting and buying drift missiles for normal road use, but missile cars will not be permitted for regular street use. As you can use a missile car for any drift event, that involves offroad drifting or not. But you can not use your drift missile for drift meets, as we want you to use your own private vehicle for regular public roads. (Unless you are told, that you are permitted to use one)

To see the full list of possible cars you can acquire, and possible tunes for these cars. Please visit our friends at http://www.powervehicles.com/drift-heaven-weeks/ as you will get to see the type of categories of car you will be possibly be buying, as you buy the tune.
