I recently purchased FH3 for PC and started the game with keyboard/mouse as I could not find my controller. However, I have found and would like to switch input device.
I’ve done the obligatory Google searches and the closest I could find to my problem was a post suggesting that I reset my app information and then prevent a sync upon start-up: done that twice with no effect. I’ve even looked in the config file and couldn’t find an entry for input device.
Does anyone know of a way to switch input device after starting the game beyond re-installing the game?
Info: Windows 10, want to use PS DS4 controller.
Thanks for any help offered.
Do yourself a favor and just get an Xbox controller which has rumble triggers, which yes you need and stop torturing yourself.
This doesn’t help me with my problem: I have a controller, no I’m not going to buy a new one, and I just want to tell the game that I want to use a different input device.
When the game starts it asks you what you want to use as an input device, I selected keyboard and now I want to switch. How does one go about telling the game what is the input device: that’s all I want to know. If it’s not possible, so be it.
So if anyone else has any suggestions, I would be grateful. Otherwise, cheers.
Doesn’t change the fact that the brake and throttle feedback are an important part of the game that you won’t have access to with that controller. I’m sorry but those are the facts. It just makes life easier. Cheers. As far as I know people with PS4 controllers have to use this http://ds4windows.com/ to emulate an XBox controller on PC. It does not matter that you started with a keyboard it just see’s the controller if it is there. There is nothing to change. I just tested H3 on my PC. I started the game with KB control and than turned on my controller and it just switches over without having to do anything.
