1- VIP not working , game’s prologue race rewards aren’t 2x , all addons within the ultimate edition don’t execute through ms store.
2- controller (being used through Xoutput) , only triggers for half a second per button press,then the keyboard’s input settles instead, which is pretty disappointing for such a big release , given that almost all other applications translate input perfectly,was going to buy a legit pricey Xbox controller,until i noticed almost everyone here suffers same issue with all types of devices.
3- keyboard mapping is broken , game can’t record 2 directional buttons at a time , so i have to press,wait,press, awesome.
4- first person using the keyboard. 90 degree acrade-ish wheel turns , too practical?
5- does me spending about 80% of the time trying to fix this catastrophe count towards gameplay hours , as in non-refundable?
am facing the same issue on number 2 and 3 … can’t use my DS4 and number 3 is sooooo annoying so I stopped playing amd quite the game
agreed , game is utterly broken , feels like money thrown down the garbage how it resides there on my desktop having to wait for 2 or 3 months to be functional.
I used to use my razer serval to play FH3 through xoutput, downloaded fh4 demo yesterday and it wasn’t working well with xoutput, tho, if I start the game qithout starting xoutput, the controller works perfectly. Idk if you have tried this yet, but you should try if you haven’t
Yes seems manipulating the input method works, i had mine finally work by having steam running while updating the device’s “HID compilant game controller” driver in “control panel/printer’s and controllers”.
Turns out my connection being set as metered blocked the virtual Xbox360 controller from fully functioning.
It can get corky at times since steams let’s the controller do keyboard commands such switching to another window when pressing HOME, but except for that, gameplay is legit and is a hell of alot better than 3, this works as more of a temporary fix up until actually buying an xbox controller, enough of the xoutput thing.
