Can someone at Turn 10 please look into the track rotations? The last week or so in C Class, 1/3 of the tracks end up being Nurburgring full or Nordschleife. When it’s not either of those circuits it it tends to be Watkins Glen or Lime Rock or Rio. I could have sworn there was 19 different tracks in this game upon release.
Hahaha, I’ve seen this too. It was explained on here that tracks are randomised. But if you consider there are up to 9 variants on some tracks compared to only one Laguna Seca option it means you get the same tracks pop up, albeit slightly altered e.g. wet, dry, short, etc. For me Yas comes up too many times (and I’m someone that quite likes Yas!)
Not to mention that, for what I know, Monza full and any Top Gear variations are missing from A and S class.
I can understand Top Gear because of all the track cutting and the cross section where most of the crashes happen…but Monza full, come on…there’s no problem with it.
The track rotation in combination with the amount of laps is utter rubbish in this game. This was always the case and for sure it will be in future as well.
It sucks that I wholeheartedly agree with you. Wish it wasn’t the case but you’re right. While I hope to be proven wrong by T10 that track rotations won’t stay this appalling, if they haven’t updated them or made a few adjustments via a patch in the year and a half this game has been out then I really don’t think it’s on their radar for the next Motorsport games.
This is one of my biggest gripes with the game. I like S class but I see too much Rio Full, Rio National, Prague Full, Prague Short, Yas North, COTA West in both the voting slots. Voted random did you?
Well reverse versions it is then! They go through all the hard work capturing and licencing a bunch of tracks that end up like low probability for voting slots. Tracks like Spa, Monza, Le Mans, Hockenheim etc.
I would just like to point out that we paid for 19 different tracks. I don’t understand why we don’t get to race 19 different tracks without having to race the same ones over and over and over and over again
People were complaining about this back when FM6 was new and Turn 10 were still releasing CUs and at least pretending to engage with the community. They did only the bare minimum then (Le Mans Full got fixed and Monza was added to the rotation in higher classes), so I’d be very surprised if they do anything now, 18 months on when they’re likely peddling full tilt on their next release.
Glad this has been brought up again. T10 need to take notice of the facts. Not 1 person enjoys the track rotation and we have been telling you this from day 1. Even when we were offered to fix the track roatation in the modern gt endurance hopper and after everyone agreed on a list t10 still did nothing wich was extremely disapointing for those of us that took triton by his word.
The straw that broke the camels back for me and firmy made my mind up that T10 really don’t listen to us was the implementation of no racing line in the forza rc. The community manger claims this was done due to feed back from the community but the truth is they just don’t want it to look silly during the offline events. T10 put image and visulalization over the games playability every time they make these stupid choices.
I have to say by no means am i anywhere near one of the quickest guys and have only just entered my first RC. I feel the no racing line implementation a positive thing rather than negative. Although i do appreciate it might effect the really fast guys more so than myself
Track rotation definitely needs to improve. Like some have mentioned, some locations such as Yas Marina, Nurburgring, and Rio have much more variants than locations such as Spa, Road Atlanta, and Bathurst so you’re much more likely to play the former locations than the latter. Factor in that tracks such as Spa, Road Atlanta, and Bathurst always end up having tons of votes, and you have a situation that needs remedied in Forza 7 (highly doubt they’re going to change anything in Forza 6). I mostly play A class so I can’t vouch for other hoppers, but when the best tracks show up they always receive a ton of votes while smaller tracks, rain, and night tracks mostly receive very little votes in my experience. And many times the number of players in a lobby greatly diminishes when one of these kinds of tracks show up.
So yes, hoppers would definitely improve if the track selection got better. If the full variants of tracks got weighted much higher, and they added a lap or two to each track, we would have a much more enjoyable experience. I guarantee if T10 looked at voting results over the game’s time, they would find that tracks such as Road America full, Road Atlanta full, Spa, Bathurst, Silverstone full, Sebring full, Catalunya, and Watkins Glen usually always end up winning the vote. I honestly can’t remember the last time one of these tracks didn’t get voted for when they show up, unless they are going against each other. Everyone has their track preferences, but these tracks are loved by most. They need to show up much more often.
Of course, if there weren’t so many tracks in the game that so many people hate the rotation wouldn’t matter. I don’t think there’s a single track in Project Cars that I dislike, yet in Forza there are loads.
