HEAVY HITTERS

Edit (thanks to Katzenjammer below): Heavy Hitters is a theme option for Blueprint events which restricts eligible cars by weight (over 4,465lbs/2,026kgs - mostly offroad, SUV, saloon, and truck types). In a Heavy Hitters event without a class restriction, there are 60 eligible stock models over weight ranging from D to S1 class. In seasonal events if your car does not fit within the restrictions then it won’t be listed as an eligible option until you apply upgrades to make it eligible.

I was today years old when I found out it’s not just this specific list of cars, it’s about how heavy any car is. Tried to take my Merc X-class to the trial and it was nowhere in the list, wasn’t impressed at first but the Urus did fine (helped along by my very first case of every single other person leaving). Made the heaviest car not eligible (2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat) heavier and would ya look at that it’s suddenly eligible. Sorry if this was common knowledge, just think it’s funny if we there was a way could add lots and lots of weight you could be driving a Mini or 595 around with Warthogs and Jeeps lol. After a bit of fiddling I’ve found the threshold is approximately 4,465lbs/2,026kgs. You’re all very welcome for this life changing information.

Having massive issues with lag as are loads of other players. No idea why.

yes, same here. Internet connection is fine with other games, apps etc. Only problem is Forza.

It was close, but new series started on time.
Had actually a nice time doing online adventure, it was kinda fun driving the Viper offroad on wrong suspension and ofc setup
So to this season and as usual starting with trial and A 800 cross country racing, with heavy hitters (cars weighing over 2.000 kilos or is 2.100) anyway. Team struggled big time just barely got 2:1 (one person was there just for a ride the whole time)
For me it was no brainer, picked my beloved Ford F-150 Prerunner DD and had a very good time winning all 3 events.
Ford F-150 Prerunner DD, tune - 795 974 100
or Jeep Wrangler Unlimited DD, tune - 756 246 482
or AMG M12S Warthog, tune - 162 257 543

So to solo championships and starting with fastest S1 900 road racing, with modern muscle cars
First I was thinking of taking my Camaro PO, but since it has to run V10 to fit into S1, I just went with normal Camaro ZL1
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, tune - 400 697 228
or Ford Mustang RTR S5, tune - 681 739 930

Moving to somewhat slower cars and C 600 dirt racing, with retro rally cars. My pick runs rally tires, so it can struggle somewhat on uphill sections, but makes it up with grip in corners.
Subaru Legacy RS, tune - 651 636 901
or Ford Racing Puma, with stock tires, tune - 972 253 597

Finishing solo championships with more dirt racing, this time with D 500 cult cars. This one runs vintage tires for nice grip, surprisingly enough it actually has good acceleration, missing on some top speed though.
Morris Minor 1000, tune - 123 005 148
or Abarth 595 Esseesse, tune - 129 483 154

Time for PR stunts and as always used Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 for danger sign and speed trap, dirt speed zone done with Hoonigan Ford RS200, tune - 428 155 751.
Danger sign took two tries, as I went sideways when taking off, rest done on first try, no rewinds.

Weekly Forzathon cars … hyper cars … and since I want to be able to drive the car,. not it driving me, Italdesign Zerouno, S1 900 tune - 417 289 574, no custom races, just went out and had fun.

Simple finishing pic:

Ow and Super 7 weekly reward is: Formula Drift Ferrari #117 599 GTB Fiorano

There are also tunes that I shared, for other cars that can be used, feel free to try them.

So hope this can be of any help to somebody, take care and have fun, bb

Edit
Added few more cars with tunes

I was disappointed to perform so poorly - I should have been able to sew up 2nd behind you in all three races, but I just wasn’t driving well today. Glad we got it taken care of though, I just don’t get on well with cross country. Thanks for anchoring the team!

That is an extremely nice tune. She handles beautifully, cheers.

Fine then, don’t have your life changed, it’s your loss

The GT500 is very nice to drive, but it symbolizes the lack of that little extra attention to detail in Microsoft’s games. No stripe option, no low wing option, and apparently the taillights are from the pre-facelift model.

It could have had more interesting engine swaps as well, and a sound that wasn’t recycled from the GT350R (which is the wrong one for both cars, in fact). I don’t think the Viper V10 benefits the car much at all.

The pandemic hurts development, yes, but these things can’t be blamed on the pandemic. Lines of code and 3D model porting don’t require you to leave your home.

Feels like the game is relatively unstable today based on various comments. I only tried to do the trial and was disconnected at 2-0 up, which was a bit annoying. Seemed a fairly easy trial though, so shouldn’t be an issue to do it again.

Yes very easy Trial this week. I used the Trackhawk because i already had a decent tune on it. I can foresee that the Baja WP’s will be dominant in the line up though over the next couple of days.

Double post

I didn’t feel much instability, because I didn’t try matchmaking, but I was having a lot of hiccups when saving and loading my designs.

I really enjoyed driving the GT500, but I’ll leave the verdict to the actual pros on whether it’ll be competitive. My guess: it won’t. But it won’t be terrible either.

Yet, another, possible broken forum issue - does ‘ManteoMax’ starting post in this thread have images for anyone? I know normally they do, but this one shows none for me, and the one from last week (Spring series 31) had images for the first half of the week, later they disappeared. (For the Spring one, someone posted images in the thread latter on, these I could see, no issue).

So TL;DR - top of thread/post, images or not. Yet another broken part of the forum?

Edit: - checked the coding, there is indeed a call for an image (at least two), no idea why they do not show for me, nothing has changed at my end browsing wise - do others also not see the images?

I see them. I believe they’re on Twitter.

Yeah, coding tells me they are twitter, and I can see them if I open the links inside the code window, yet no idea why they don’t work in the forum, as I said, stopped working mid-week last week for zero reason that I can see.

Seems something for me only… so no idea.

Edit - worked out the issue, and I really don’t see why this should have made them not show - turned off block ‘tracking content’ …and they are back. Seems the browser considers twitter as tracking content.

I see the images.

And, we’re back…

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks offline seasonal events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

No online thus far, when I tried yesterday, I could not get on, no matter, AH no issue, check ‘new tunes’ to get share code for my tunes because made after how tunes appear/sharecode was broken - no issue (beyond that issue), connect to Horizon Live, including change session no issue - but I feel almost everyone came across this eventually in the last 24 hours.

PR Stunts:

  • Croft Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - ‘S900 Rally Trial’ (680 307 281), quite a few efforts (to get the cornering right, also did it at night, which was not helpful), some rewind, however not difficult once cornering is managed, started at ‘uphill’ end in the forest,
  • Coombe Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544), zero issue if traffic does not get in your way, they did for me, but i managed it first run anyway, sideways through the trap,
  • Great Ridge Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544), one of the more annoying danger signs, can the devs please, make the distance to jump, not equal to right where trees are (this one (plus others)) or buildings are (others), or at least turn off the auto fail for hitting trees - should not have to do the jump, manage the distance, hit a tree and fail, over and over, for this jump especially, aiming for a specific clearing with no trees is near impossible, it is all luck for the landing, the distance is easy ~ jump is a matter of holding the speed (need around 200 kmph), distance is not a great task, landing well requires luck.

Solo championships - Raced against ~ this week on Unbeatable, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability: Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: “Cult Collection” | Dirt Racing (D500) Cult Collection
**Car used: 1962 Peel P50 (Barnfind)
**Tune: D100 Easy Pass / 177 610 598

The easy one. So it is a piece of cake, but the going is slow, and not exciting at all - but guaranteed win for all races. Yes, was feeling lazy, but this was after I had spent some time trying to do the online events with no success. I normally use this tune to get daily tasks related to passing and clean race, as it manages it with zero effort. Tune is AWD, has Forza aero, no rear bumper, offroad tires (the only option) with the original (no swap) engine.

**Championship: “Forest for the Trees” | Dirt Racing | (C600) Retro Rally
**Car used: 1980 Renault 5 Turbo (Autoshow 120,000 Cr)
**Tune: C600 Dirt / 725 541 670

This one was painful for me, did quite a few runs at the first circuit race before I could win it - this was unbeatable, lower difficulties will prove far less troublesome. The A.I. doing cornering without braking at all is the major problem here - and yes, this is what they were doing, I was close enough to see their speed did not change at all, and the turn was impossible at speed (well the turn they did, not running out wide, not running off the road and pulling back in (one way to do said corners at high speed), was not possible). The other trial races were easier, although close races. Tune runs street tires, AWD with Forza rear wing.

**Championship: “Flex Your Muscles” | Road Racing (S1 900) Modern Muscle
**Car used: 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (Autoshow 60,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Road AWD / 777 792 277

From difficult to not really difficult, slightly competitive, but simple enough wins ~ and you get to win boring Mustang clone number 8? Maybe 9? Anyway, boring yawn car to win. Car/tune is very stable, very good through corners (this is were it makes up for what I assume is not been the fastest choice - seems like the A.I. could have gone faster if the tracks had less corners), quick to accelerate. Tune is AWD, H.E. race tires, Forza rear wing, hood/bonnet with vents.

Enjoy

Hello all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks ~ now with online too ~ seasonal events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: “Excess Baggage” | Cross Country | (A800) Heavy Hitters
**Car used: *see below
**Tune: *see below

Not recommending anything here, because those I used proved rather lackluster overall, I suggest people choose from the many other choices listed in this thread. Tried both the Bentley Turbo R and the '31 8-Liter but found them both disappointing for the event, I do realise these are rather impractical choices for the Trial, yet the two are quite capable in cross-country, just not this Trail it seems (which is interesting because I have used the 8-Liter in a previous Heavy Hitters cross country Trial where it did quite well - although in Winter. The tunes are shared if you wish to go try them out, find them in the hub, but again rather lackluster this week I feel.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Rail Yard | (B700) Vintage Racers
**Car used: 1926 Bugatti Type 35 C (Autoshow 10,000,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Games / 120 307 841

Very much opposite to the Trial, this car/tune was great for the games, very nice handling, great grip, and plenty fast enough to catch your opponents, certainly very easy to catch the rental. This week for me, no one quit the games at all, not sure if just luck of the match making or some sort of notice has been made to general players that quitting is not needed to ‘win’. Tune is AWD with rally tires, the Bugatti has no aero items t all, so no aero too.

Yeap, yeap… only the Rimac which I insist on using really dislikes this jump, and barely stays on the ground long enough to get the speed to clear the trees.

Have fun.
