I took the “Flex Your Muscles” S1-race in a 2015 Corvette, gave it a grip-focused tune that came handy in the tight arena-race.

Corvette 2015 code: 106 299 965

The D500 “Cult Collection”-race went easy enough in my hotted up 1959 Ford Anglia.

Anglia tune: 121 218 716

Picked me a 1980 Renault 5 Turbo for the C600 race “Forest for the trees”, gave it a grippy but still fast setup;

Renault 5 Turbo: 835 116 001

The last two have tuned suspensions. The only “tuning” I did to the Corvette was to add wider tires to the rear.
The “original” Forza-suspension is too stiff but driveable…

Looks like we are back to double season completion prizes. I just got the AMG E63 and Crown Victoria for 80% completion.

The Trial - Someone please remind me to never again do the Trial early on a Thursday. I normally don’t get started til Thurs or Fri evening but due to the weather here, I had the day off. Wow. The number of untuned vehicles was amazing including numerous Trailcats and even 2015 Charger Hellcat…again, untuned. Unsurprisingly, it was horrible. I ran it three times yesterday and we lost each time. I was also having issues with the cars slowing down then speeding up like when there are lag issues. Made it difficult. So I ran the Bentley because I love it for Heavy Hitters. I remember setting it to just over 4500 lbs so it would qualify. It did fairly well but nothing amazing. I am going to run it again later now that things seem to be flowing better. I also noticed that Limos qualify…so yeah, that’s me. I was afraid it was underweight so I reduced the weight reduction, and put a turbo on it. Ran it twice, first time another guy brought a Limo as well. Yay! And he was a (Racy) dude, Squryl, so one of your guys. We were all at the front for the first two races and took them easily. I ran again after and took 2nd place in each race. I might try to refine that tune a little more.

PGG - Again, a bunch of untuned rental cars but I don’t fault them this time. Each car is $10 mil so yeah. I ran the Bugatti, it has a bit of pep and good control.
1926 Bugatti Type 35C Tune: 263 353 878

All races are done on Unbeatable unless noted. Usually Winter Street or Winter S2 gets a downgrade, but I’ll usually at least try it on Unbeatable.

Cult - So this looks like one I might run a few times. The choices are lovely, got Beetles, Morris Minors, and the Honda S800 is part of that list now. Normally Cult Cars bring forth either my Datsun or the Gremlin but this time I chose the Karmann Ghia. Had a tough time getting my PI to balance right, ran it on stock tires. Not too impressed but it did the job well enough. Took first by around 50% of the way through and kept it.
1967 VW Karmann Ghia

Forest - I had the Pulsar already tuned up so I went with that. It did alright, a little slidey but decent. Not great acceleration but makes it to the front just fine.
1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R

Muscles - I had a few choices but the Vette was a grip tune and I know all the turns can be a killer. It did pretty well. I think the game was trying to make a statement about its new car. It was always out front by a good bit and never beat it by too much. On the second race, I had gotten it tangled in some cobble and it lost places…but sure enough on that last straight heading toward the finish line, I see it flying up in my rear view, seconds ahead of the others.

Hmm, so he IS still around; interesting. Snow is a strong all-arounder, good competitor.

Nice little aerial; was that launch intentional? And how do you like this Streamable thing?

.

Worked a treat HAHA! Took a couple of rewinds but nailed it

I thought that I would “take on the challenge” to run all 22 of my Cult cars in the Championship. Tuned them all to as close to D500 as possible. Managed to win with all but the Peels and Reliant (3 wheelers with no control at speed). Thanks for the inspiration.

[/quote]

You are welcome. Well done. Did you keep track of times or at least better/best? It’d be interesting to see. I did a few but now I’m tempted to go back in with the others. The Reliant I have written off. Made a drag version and tool around at times but I can’t race that thing at all.

Bree, you are welcome. lol

I originally discovered it trying to improve my hang time stat. I was hitting the hill from the side and launching up. Then found I could angle it right and go through the flags and that was it. Got my hang time up to 9.5 seconds before the Super 7 came out…and one of the events apparently triggered the game to save it as a record and so that threw the whole thing off. So now my hang time is a cheat at over 23 seconds. :frowning:

I did not keep times, or positions (as not all cars won all of their races).
I have, however, re-run the Abarth on Expert setting with ABS, TC and SC all off.
The results are:
Holyrood Park - 3:16.369
Moorhead Rally - 3:52.302
Derwent - 3:42.231
1st place in all 3 races.

Not sure how competitive my times are (player since July 2020), using a controller on the PC version. I now have a challenge to find the stats in the rivals section, which I normally only go to for the monthly Playlist.

Stay safe all

He took first in the first race, beat me in the second, but I bested him in the last. But I just lit up when I saw I was not the only Limo. His was done up like a school bus, but it said “Spool” not school. Dunno.

But, in both of our favors, the AI was kinda brutal. Dead stops, side-flicking, and that pinch in Ambleside is just ridiculous.

The launch is intentional. If you line it up right, you come straight down the gravel just a little to the side, and hit a rise going up the mountain to the right of the main path. As long as you don’t get too out of line, you can go clear over the trees. My record is in the top 5000 on that jump.

Never did Streamable before, I literally googled free video hosting. lol. Didn’t want to do Vimeo, so here it is. But it is easy, can do quick edits and also drop out the audio which I did but then it was just odd without the engine noise, so put it back in.

*** UPDATE *** SPRING
FORZA HORIZON 4: SUPER 7 - SUMMER
FERRARI FORMULA DRIFT #117 599 GTB FIORANO 2017 is available for completing the Super7 this week.

Kudos to the development team for getting the update out on time!

The Games are really fun this season. The Railton sounded great and worked well. There were lots of apparent rentals but the tuned Railton was definitely worth it.

For the championships I wanted to use cars that I don’t run often. All of the championship races were won on unbeatable with autoshow cars. I used the 13 GT500 to win the 20 GT500 then a Gremlin and Escort for the Toyotas. It is a good mix of races.

For the weekly challenge car I used a 12 Aventador with a winter grip tune for the races and a Senna for the zones. The Aventador wins on unbeatable but it’s tougher since it is targeted to winter road racing. The Senna always makes speed zones quite easy.

Railton: Games and Race 118 344 904
13 Mustang GT500: Road and Street 164 785 386
Gremlin: Road Dirt Street 162 930 264
92 Escort: Race 169 918 693
12 Aventador: 130 237 551
Senna: 118 462 672

Edit: all stunts done with the 98 Supra rally tune, 609 842 300

Too bad they dont have the same hurry making fixes and responding to tickets… jeezus, never ever played a game so unstable in my life.

So Squryl,

Normally I don’t pay too much attention to the Rivals thing. I do the monthly and leave it at that. But every now and then one pops up, like when you best my time in the event. So sometimes I give it a try but don’t stress too much about it. I am a decent driver but not on the same tier with a bunch of you.

So it popped up that you had beat my time on the monthly Rivals challenge. Ok, so I’ll take a shot at it. I went to the Rivals tab, clicked it and …it keeps me in my current vehicle. So my upgraded Ferrari ended up besting your time in a stock Toyota by about 15 seconds…lol. I’m not sure if it logs it or not but it seemed to take it. I did it again later and it showed up with the Toyota. So just in case you get a notification that I beat your time…by 15 seconds…don’t stress too much about trying to beat it. lol

Had some fun re-doing the D500 cult-car race yesterday. Tuned up a Citroen 2CV (James Bond pack) and made me a rallymonster,
or a Monstre de Rallye! Easiest win ever, will be my D500 rallye go-to from now.

Notice that my tunes are really tuned and not just added parts like most other “tuners” do. Tryed to keep the
2CV-feeling here, still a lot of bodyroll but kind of controllable

Monstre de Rallye tune: 974 824 997

A wery good matching design: Gt: Phuzzumms “66 old barn find” : 118 640 829 completes the 2CV. Nice paintjob!

The James Bond citroen 2CV has a weight of 785kg in H4. Thats after the bumpers is removed to save weight. The real life weight of this car was 495kg, thats complete with bumpers on. And adding a 3liter V8 adds 3kg(!!) to that.
Oh come on Playground, tryed google?

This is even worse than the 1966 Lotus Cortina with it`s 934kg in H4 vs ca.780kg IRL

Pretty easy season except for the danger sign pr stunt. Really, and its not the only one that suffer from this problem. How devs can expect us to beat the target score if we have objects in the middle and we fail half of the times because of crashes and flip downs? either you go too slow and you cant beat it, or you go to fast and you crash against the trees. Even if you did an amazing take off the danger sign, keeping in mind how difficult this danger sign is.

For those who, as always, say things like “did it on firs try, no rewinds”. Erm, really? what are you guys doing still playing this game? you are a god. You dont belong here lol. This is one of the funniest things about these posts. lol.

The Danger Sign took me 4 attempts with no rewinds… but I use XBox One S which is the laggiest XBox One, so controls don’t respond instantly.

George, I feel your pain. One thing that has helped me for pr stunts that have traffic or parked cars blocking is attending a forzathon live event. The cars all dissappear. There is a live event that starts by the drift story that has a round at this jump. For me the jump is easiest when splitting the two groups of parked cars though I frequently miss it. I don’t know what you are using or how it’s tuned but having a good setup on a capable car helps a lot.

This season the first time I attempted the speed trap there were 5 to 10 cars in the way. I went back to my starting point and requested a new session. When it loaded all the traffic disappeared and I temporarily had a clear line to it. It is tough if you are in solo mode. Those memories are not easy to forget.

Surely it’s normal for people to enjoy doing things they’re good at? Do you think that top athletes, for example, should give up their sport as soon as it becomes clear they’re good at it? I just don’t see the logic in someone being good at the game implying that they shouldn’t be playing it.

I spent about 10 mins on the danger sign, having seen a video someone recently posted on here showing how to get more distance by going a little to the right so you launch much earlier. It took me several attempts, with lots of rewinds, but I improved my PB by a large amount, think I was just short of 2000 feet with the 599 XX Evo.

Did both monthly things yesterday and encountered 2 of the game’s worst issues, 1 in each.

My monthly rival was someone in the same club as me and they were using the speed glitch, first time I’ve seen it first-hand and it was hilarious to watch the Supra be so clueless in the corners then proceed to rocket away from me.

Did RTA for my monthly adventure and there was only 7 of us from the beginning, a League 4 was in the opposing team and it came down to Edinburgh New Town, I got in front after the first proper corner and predictably they quit, game showed me as gone up to League 7 at the end but I’m guessing that won’t stick.

I’ll give the Trial a go tomorrow but if there’s any connection problems like seems to be more frequent lately I’m not going to bother, CC trials are erratic enough normally without a load of faffing about getting in initially + remaining in them.

The technique I used to use for this Danger Sign was to forget the normal run up entirely. I started in a straight line up to the jump but you have to clear out a section of the wall first. So it avoids the cars, it avoids the squirrelly bit but you need something with a bit of give so it doesn’t get totally bounced around. The RS200 is good but the Tipo also works well and a number of others.

There is an angle from the crossroad that you can take through the trees without hitting the lumpy bumps that throw you off line. Then it is nearly straight up to the jump. But to do the right side “cheat” you need something with a lot of speed but isn’t too skittish. The Ferrari 599 does it well, the 812 and the MC12. I don’t remember if I did it with a 918 or not.
