The Trial - So as you all know, this one was tricky. My first race was in a Senna and the AI were absolutely spasmodic. The second was testing out the Zerouno and then my fellow players were rough. Full on corner-bombers. So in both runs, the trick was to break through the middle of the pack in order to actually get to racing. The Senna was easier to handle but the Zerouno seemed to perform better. Now in the second run, there was a driver who was, shall we say “peculiar.” He won the first race, no big, I had gotten tangled and corner-bombed, so I have no statement for that. But in the second race, he had some erratic movements that didn’t make sense. But I got in the lead so that was all I could tell. Third race, by the second lap, he and I were first and second. He clearly overshot and flew off the first major left-hander, yet made it back on track before I got there. He lost control two other times and then finally went completely sideways on the tight run between the barriers and mountainside. I ended up crashing into him and nearly dead stopped. (Thank you, ghosting, not!) Continued on past him and he then appeared ahead of me on the track and finished first. So not sure if it was connection issues, lag, game issues…or shenanigans. But it was bizarre.

PGG - As soon as I saw that it was available, I knew I was running the Regalia. Oddly enough, I had forgotten I already had a PGG tune for this from a prior event. So now I have two PGG A800 tunes for this car. Whatever. Decent acceleration, good control, but not fast. Still kept pace and handled it’s own though. Also really good at defending on Flag. lol

Cult - I wanted to run a VW, but I had the Isetta tuned up and thought I’d give it a shot. It is D443 but it did well enough. I handles turns and close driving pretty well but loses out on top end. So on the long runs, expect to get overtaken just earn in back once you are in city. Word to the wise, do not run up on the shoulders/sidewalks, or anything that has a height difference than the road, it will throw you sideways.
BMW Isetta 300 Export Tune: Quick and Sticky
Down Under - Good speed, good acceleration, light on control. It’s good for throwing the end out through dirt/gravel turns then pushing on straight ahead. Handles high speed dirt courses fine, wouldn’t run it at Ambelside.

Dream - Ran the van again. Good speed, really light on grip. Gotta nurse the sharper turns but it catches and passes the pack. Obviously there are better tunes and better rides than the Vandura but I like running it just cuz.

So for the Forzathon Tankpool challenges, I didn’t realize the Street events did not go by class. So you run a truck…and they run rally cars, GT cars, pretty much anything else. So did not run this one on Unbeatable, couldn’t get higher than 4th. But the nice thing is, it’s easy to cheat corners and still hit the flags; the AI doesn’t bounce you; and even the oncoming traffic doesn’t do much to you.
For the Speed Trap, I did the Slate Quarry at 130mph. I originally started on the gravel road but that sweeping left-hander put me outside my line. So I came up from next to the house instead. Cut inside the trees as you enter the quarry and flatten out the curves and you can get it. But Astmoor is definitely easier.
