Suggestions To Improve The Forum's Oraganization

Hello

I’ve got some suggestions to improve the organization of the forums, so I thought I’d make a little post to see what others, including Turn 10 themselves think

One of the things that make a UI difficult to navigate is when there’s multiple buttons to get to the same place - for an idea, Steam’s UI is terrible for this. When on the standard page for the forums, there’s the categories Troubleshooting Hub, Suggestions Hub, Forza Horizon, Forza Motorsport, Community Hub, Miscellaneous, and Official Forza at the centre of the page. Then to the left, there’s buttons that list the exact same things

Subjectively, I think it would be easier not only for the average user, but also Turn 10 themselves for the categories to simply be the names of all the games. Think about it for a moment - when someone navigates the forums, they’ve got their game that they’re focusing on in their mind and clicking on that game and everything being there would be far simpler and therefore easier for most people, I’m sure. This would also save Turn 10 a lot of hassle moving people’s post locations because it’s at the wrong side of the forums

Something else, the search bar could be just above the top post of the category you’re in - the current search bar requires you to add a tag, and there’s countless which make it difficult to use

I’m thinking the categories could be something like this:

-FM1
-FM2
-FM3
-FM4
-FM5
-FM6
-FM7
-FM8 (Perhaps it could be regarded as FM8 to avoid confusion with FM1)
-FH1
-FH2
-FH3
-FH4
-FH5
-Miscellaneous
-Official Forza

Then when choosing a game:

-Circuit Racing
-Rally Racing
-Cross-Country Racing
-Drift Racing
-Drag Racing
-Tuning
-Paint Designs
-Photography
-Car Wishlists
-Troubleshooting
-Suggestions
-Update Log
-(Other more random things below)

I honestly think this would reduce the need for the filter system, which is even more confusing. You just choose the game you’ve got in mind, for example FH3, then that second list of things show up and you navigate from there. Because in general, there is a lot of visual noise on these forums that’s mostly unnecessary. This should help everyone

What do you think?

Thank you
