Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GR) 2008 - Very low quality car model

This issue has persisted since Forza Motorsport 3, but the transition to Xbox One only made it worse. The 2008 Impreza WRX STI has been forgotten by Forza for years now, having received no new customization or upgrades since at least Horizon 3, as if taking away its 4 different body kits from Xbox 360 Forza titles wasn’t enough. Add to that, its 3D model is very low quality, around original Xbox model quality, particularly the lights and panel gaps.

All of its side lines lack roundness. Despite the Forza photo being taken in bad conditions, the weird shadows near panel gaps are still noticeable. The whole front end seems to be slightly misshaped as well.

The rear end also lacks shape, but probably the worst part is the taillights, which literally scream “XBOX 360 MODEL”. It seems as though the side skirts are incorrectly shaped as well, or at least have broken shadows.

A closer shot of the right taillight, it just encapsulates everything wrong with Xbox 360 models in FH5.

Overall, the 2008 Impreza model in Forza wouldn’t be terrible if it wasn’t for the weird shadows and awful light textures. I could’ve even forgiven these if it still retained all of its Xbox 360 body kits (including Varis, INGS and Chargespeed kits). If it’s not possible to port them over to this clearly Xbox 360 ported model, then this Impreza needs to be rescanned.

The 2008 Impreza WRX STI needs a proper rescan and remodel IMHO since the rear end is fully inaccurate from the taillight model and its misaligned seams to the shape and length of the rear bumper. The front hood line and front bumper is higher in shorter in length on the FORZA model.

This is nice looking car in person. The “current” in-game model really does not do it justice.
