Excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain to me how this works.
I played the Demo yesterday after downloading it, and went back to it today, after work to continue, only to find that I was back at the beginning again… I would’ve thought that there would have been some sort of save to allow me to continue.
So I’m now confused, if there is no save of game or progress, how will it register that we have “completed one event” to be eligible for the Gift car once the game has been released?
The developers are able to see activity by gamertag. Just make sure you see your time on an event leaderboard after you cross the finish line and you should be registered. (Though, just to be safe, I would make sure to race all 3 events in the championship so you see the COMPLETE show up on screen.)
Hi. Got a question about the Subaru you get from playing the demo and completing an event. .I have a preorder for the Day One disc version of FH2 from an online retailer. Does getting the Subaru require the downloadable version of the game or can I use the disc version for it? If this has been asked before, my apologies, but I’m curious.
That’s all from me, and I look forward to playing this game in full. (And seeing how that Rally Fighter drives…that thing sounds crazy.)
Hi I hope so as this is what I have done as well. I have a similar question as my demo doesn’t seem to want to save my progress if I go on another game and come back I have to start all over again so how will it know that I have completed it cause it isn’t saving? Is everyone else’s demo like this?
Your online “save” where everything gets registered concerning your gamertag, will have/get a checkmark that you downloaded & raced in the demo. Based on that checkmark, FH2 will eventually query & award the Impreza where needed.
Guys, the download and physical disc versions of games are no different. As far as T10 and PG are concerned, they have no clue whether you have a digital only or disc version.
For some reason, I thought the line “Purchase the full version of Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One.” made it sound like you could only get the gifted Subaru from a digital copy. I’m glad that’s not the case. Sounds like I don’t have to cancel my order then.
I know a Subaru Impreza isn’t a super prize, even if I can buy it in-store (I think Turn 10 listed it among the in-game cars), but I got through a number of FH1 and FM5 career races in certain Impreza models, so I’m going to appreciate it.
Don’t worry it’ll come. Given that Horizon 2 hasn’t launched in all countries yet it would be a bit arduous for Turn 10 to start up the gifting process only to have to repeat it once other countries get up and running. More efficient to hold for now and sort everyone at the one time.
