About a week ago, I started getting a weird problem with Horizon 2 (xbox one). Everytime I load the game, it would quit to xbox dash after taking a long time in the loading screen (this is after I hit A and passing the sync message).
Thinking my game data might be corrupt, I decided to test this on a different profile. This time I created a new profile, started a new game and it ran fine. Game data seemed to have passed.
So I decided to remove my main profile from the xbox, reloaded it from the cloud and ran forza horizon 2.
Now the game just continues to sync data. I don’t get any progress bar, nothing. It’s stuck on syncing…
Can someone please tell me what happened? I had a lot of hours on my profile with a good line up of cars. I don’t want to lose it all!
The sync can take hours. Literally hours. Don’t do anything else on the console, just let it run. When you’ve removed the main profile, you have a whole lot of data to re-download. Let it go until completion.
It started doing this regularly to me a few months ago, so I just stopped playing it. Took about 15 minutes this time around when I got back on it to get the playground pack.
So I thought about restarting the game and console. I quit back to dash board and went back into game (to cancel sync) and voila, before I could cancel, I see a progress bar on sync.
It was moving very slowly, but moving none the less. Once it reached 100%, it loaded my game. Thank god!
Hope this helps for other folks having similar issue.
