Let me start by saying my intentions of this post are not to bash the game, playground games or discourage players from buying the game. Im a huge fan of racing games especially the forza series i’ve purchased every forza game since forza motorsports on original Xbox you can look at my gamercard and see that ive played every forza game made. I just do not agree with this business decision and I’m a little mad about this. I preordered and paid for the ultimate edition over two months ago, mainly so I could get early access to play sooner because I’m very eager to play this game. Well I woke up this morning, my day off, turned on twitch and multiple streamers are streaming the full game. Some of these streamers stated they were gifted it early from Microsoft. Two of those streamers I watched seemed to have little interest in the game and didn’t appear to be fans of the series. So my question is why do we those who have preordered and purchased the ultimate edition have to wait an additional 8 days when you are giving away early copies to a large number of streamers and you tubers now? I could see them getting the game two or three days early but 8 days before ultimate and two weeks before the official release??? I know I’m being selfish but this seems like a slap in the face to those who have been fans of the series and paid a lot of money for the ultimate edition. I realize this is probably a microsoft decision in an attempt to boost sales but imo it just seems like they arent thinking of those who have been loyal fans of the series instead giving the game to streamers who some of which seem like they have never played a forza game. Opinons?
It’s called promoting the game. Stop being so entitled and coming off as a brat.
There is no reason to not open it up to everyone then. Because your logic is they are promoting the game but if all ultimate edition players had it now there would be more people playing and streaming the game. Also you have no reason or need to insult me I’m just eager to play, I’m off this weekend and I paid $110 to play it early. I’m sorry I’m a little jealous of those who get it for free 8 days before me.
If seeing others streaming the game early has made you even more eager to get your hands on it then that’s job done.
I’ve already paid for the game months ago so that logic makes no sense. I could see if I was on the fence about getting it but I’m not like I said I’ve been a fan of the series since the first one and me seeing someone else play it 8 days before I can is not making me wanna go buy another copy it’s making me frustrated that I spent the extra money to get it early and they are giving it away to streamers some of which seem like like have never played a forza game before.

The entire marketing and promotion campaign is predicated on release on X date. If they were to release the game the game earlier, then those that are given copies for promotional purposes would simply get their copies even earlier. It would end up being an infinite regression.
Just have to be a little more patient, the game is coming and you’re going to love it.
I get that and I’m sure the game is gonna be a ton of fun just like the previous horizon games. I just don’t understand these promotional campaigns so early you never see streamers streaming other games two weeks before release typically it’s maybe one or two days early but I know it’s always been the same with forza games atleast since forza 6 I’ve noticed streamers are gifted copies 2-3 weeks before the game is released. but I guess I’m the only person it bothers sorry for venting I just don’t agree with it.
nope, I’m pretty mad too… i wanted to stream the game for release, i was hoping for some new viewers, but obviously there is a two-class society. not to mention that you get the ultimate edition especially…
Fair enough, I don’t see much value in watching annoyingly loud teenagers online playing a game I could be playing myself but perhaps that might just be me.

I have a select few I watch and none are teenagers But yes I agree with you on rather be playing than watching but the ones I do watch are very entertaining ie: Dr. Disrespect. If you haven’t watched his stream you are missing out the guys hilarious.
I’ve only seen a few seconds of that guy and it was long enough to understand why someone might want to take potshots at his house (mind you, I don’t condone such things). Streamers and many videogame YTers annoy me too much to watch. I won’t be surprised if the awful blackpanthaa posts some FH4 footage that I’ll try to watch and then shut off partway through when he becomes unbearably annoying.
Yes I agree with that about blankpanthaa but he appears to be a huge car fan and fan of the series I just don’t enjoy his content but evidently some people do. ive tried to watch him and that ar12 kid and they just aren’t for me.
I know a most excellent individual that might try his hand at streaming later on today.

Someone very much loved, admired and respected here on the forums is attempting to stream the full game on Mixer as we speak. He doesn’t appear to know what he’s doing but he’s giving it a go anyway.

In the past, journalists would be the only ones with review copies of the games but in the modern world streamers have a large influence upon the consumer - perhaps even more than reviews. So nothing has actually changed in how the game is distributed and why some people get early copies.
