Steering on gamepad

Hi,
fisrt I want to say I’m rather beginner in racing games, so I may not know how things work, and my questions may be stupid. If it’s true simply tell me that :).

But let’s get back on topic. No matter how I setup deadzones, around 75% analog stick rotation to left/right is read by game as maximum wheels rotation. Missing that 25% is problematic as it’s narrow my steering possibilities. Is there a way to fix this without replacing gamepad (which is almost new)?

Also i found that at higher speeds game limits my maximum steering. In telemetry maximum steering is around 20% of full left/right. My character doesn’t fully rotate steering wheel as well even though I’m pushing stick as much as I can. Is it intentionally?

Welcome to the forum! This all sounds oddly familiar

You may have your steering set on simulation. I’ve been racing for years now and could never really get simulation steering to feel right using a gamepad. And the reduced steering angle at speed is just due to using a gamepad, it wouldn’t be possible to drive if when you went full tilt at 250kph, it’d just understeer you into a wall. It’s supposed to replace the force feedback felt when using a wheel, which is strong enough to keep you from going full steering lock at speed.
