Those are the prices from Microsoft Store. Ultimate edition is 669₺.

Those are the prices from Steam. Ultimate edition is 150₺.

Also for the comparision sake Hotwheels legends costs 79₺ in Microsoft store while in Steam its only 15₺. Ultimate edition is four times more expensive on Microsoft store and Hotwheels legends car pack is 5 times more expensive. I really would like to see the Steam prices on Microsoft Store too.

i’m assuming its because while in the Microsoft store you can easily change region and buy games for example from Turkey while in the steam store its much more difficult.

With the price increase in the Microsoft store changing regions isn’t that much of a difference for example the ultimate edition (99€ vs 75€ + extras converted to €) while if it was the same price as steam store it would be basically a steal (99€ vs 17€).

Don’t think Microsoft will be changing the way they convert the money to different currencies.

AFAIK games on Microsoft Store are region Locked and to buy from Turkey and some other countries with mediocre economy, you need a payment method from that country. You cant just use Vpn and buy the game from there.

They arent region locked on the Microsft store, i think you mean on Steam. Try it for yourself and you will see.

I did a quick research and yes they are. Microsoft Store games are region locked.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/xba_gapp/are-microsoft-store-games-region-locked/d8964c0e-527c-4c9a-9f3a-3bb1fc16e6d6

I think this is the right answer: “it’s not region locked but it’s against the rules” since you can easily try for yourself and notice that it works.

Do it at your own risk tho.

100$ for the ultimate edition on steam… hahahahahaha. Ridiculous. Extremely expensive. But since people will buy it, well who cares. Gaming industry at its finest.

When you consider the amount of content you are getting for $100, it really isn’t ridiculous:

$60 for the base game.
$30 for the car pass
$20 for VIP
Both expansions included, $20/ea.

It’s actually a lot cheaper than buying all the content separately, and it’s about the going rate for most game bundles now that include all the content.

Please keep it on topic. This discussion is about the price difference between platforms.

In my country it looks like this.
Steam: standard 215zł / 47euro / 40pounds, ultimate 360zł / 78euro / 67pounds
Microsoft store: standard 299zł / 65euro / 56pounds, ultimate 439zł / 96euro / 82pounds

Anyone remembers how much it was in 2018 year (preorder)? I’m prerry sure I would not spend that much on ultimate edition. Was trying to find it in my bank account history, but with no luck. Something tells me it was under 300zł / 65euro / 56pounds, but I might be wrong.

It turns out I paid for it via paypal. It was 360zł / 78euro / 67pounds for a preorder at microsoft store.
Don’t know how I feel about FH4 being more expensive 2,5 year after release.

The game is much bigger and you are not in your native store. The price is right. MS doesn’t need to offer low price for the best open-world racing game. 30 % from price goes to Steam.

Still the price looks very similar to the release one.

It’s hard to tell exactly because I bought it in CZK in a steelbook but it was something around $99. Still great price even today. Finally Steam users has a chance.
