Starter car upgrades

Does anyone happen to know if there’s a list of the upgrades/tunes included on the three starter cars that were gifted to everyone at the beginning of the campaign? (They’re the Bronco, GR Supra, and C8 Corvette.) I auto-upgraded the Bronco to complete the Hot Wheels speed zone, but resetting it to its default upgrades takes it all the way back down to a fully-stock C560, whereas the original version was at B700. I can’t seem to get back there by playing around with the parts that I own, plus I don’t know if there were any changes on the tuning menu, so I was wondering if anyone had that info.

(Yes, I know it’s a strange request, but bear with me.)

I don’t think there is a direct way to reinstall it.

There should be lots in the auction house with the default starter tune. If you get one you can get the parts list by going into upgrade it and reinstalling everything that’s owned. There’s probably not a lot that can be edited in the tuning menu after that but that would have to be done too. At that point you can save the tune and then install it on your original.

Edit: next time I’m on I’ll see if I have mine unmodified. If so I can just make a list of the parts and settings and post it here.

Unfortunately the upgrades/tunes for the Auction House versions are locked (that has to be the dumbest design decision in this entire game), so I can’t look at the tune menus. And since I did the auto-upgrade, I now own some extra parts, so just looking at what I own won’t be enough to recreate it. I’m really kicking myself, because I should have remembered that this could happen. I even bought an extra Supra at some point because it needed upgrading so that I wouldn’t reset my existing one.

Thanks a lot for the offer thought! I’ll gladly do the same for the Supra and Corvette in return if anyone’s curious about them, since I’ve never touched those.

I don’t think it will be a big deal. I’m pretty sure I have mine

My formatting isn’t up to yours but feel free to reformat it and include it with your two if you want. You can save the tunes for all 3 so you would be able to reapply them whenever you need. :+1:

Thank you so much for this! I’ll throw it in my post too and give you credit.

Sidenote, but I have no idea how anyone handles putting custon rims on a car. I had to scroll through each submenu because there’s no “Installed” option highlighted, and it takes approximately ten years to scroll from one row to the next. What the hell is the game engine doing when loading them?

Lol, it’s slower than it used to be so I don’t really know. I haven’t experienced it as bad as you describe though. It’s worth it to me most times to add a little personality/uniqueness. I get the originality and collectability of the original starter cars. My Corvette is long gone though and the Supra has been through drift and is now set up for the winter sc. :person_shrugging:

Are you using garage or Test Track? I’ve noticed it’s really slow to scroll through the menus in Test Track, which is why I never really use it.

Just the garage. There’s some truly massive lag going on.

On thing that could affect to that is fps, if you’re on PC try locking it to 60 or 30 with vsync on or off. And doesn’t Xbox version have some kind of setting for different fps too, could try if changing it helps.

Yeah, it’s probably something goofy. It only affects the rims, though, and I never really go in there, so I don’t think about it much.
