Game keeps defaulting to the '20 Corvette on start up?

So a few times when ive started up the game the corvette is equipped even though it wasnt the car i was in when i left the game

Does this happen to anyone else and does anyone know why this happens?

If you’re in a DLC car when you close, it puts you in the first car you drove when you restart. FH4 did the same thing.

I never experimented this on FH4 when doing fortune island or lego stuff.

In FH5 this is a constant now. And no, i dont even do any event i just fool around the map, do a forzathon arcade, close up, open the game again, and it defaults to the corvette (or the supra or the bronco, the default starting cars). Im sure there is a specific trigger that produces this but at this point im clueless.

I am guessing this was your “starter car” choice. I’ve started in a Bronco a few times because that is the one I selected. My best guess is the game defaults to your starter car when it loses track of what the last car you were driving was.

I believe Scimmia22 is correct - I’ve not got car pass or anything this time around - so not had it happen to me at all on this game. But this has been the case on the some of the motorsport titles in recent years - if you were in a DLC car (not necessarily an expansion George) - it would default to a starter vehicle on next launch.

My game suddenly started with the Bronco today, that was a bit confusing, because I haven’t used it for a few days.

Maybe it was an issue on motorsport, could not know, but ive never seen it on FH4, and no, it happens even if using any other car that is not coming form a DLC. I suffer from it since day one. Also i didnt claim dlc cars until the third or four week of playtime… (i always do that, so i dont get bloated with cars in my garage and i can upgrade em in an easy pace).

Happened to me a lot when I had a house set as my default home but since i set a festival site as my default home it has never happened.

Should be easy enough for someone with the Car pass to test out - jump in a DLC car. Leave home to make sure it saves you were in that car - then back to dashboard, quit and restart. See if you are in the same car or dropped to a ‘default’ vehicle.

Yeah comes from dlc cars and is same in FH4 (reported this for both titles). In FH4 was also another “wrong car” bug (“fixed” but not 100%).

Maybe exists in fh5 too

A few times a week I will reload game and I’m in the 2020 GR Supra… even though I almost never use that car.

Happens to me on Xbox when the game crashes. Puts me in my starting car with lost progress. I now fear seeing the Corvette when starting the game up.

Good to know this is just a bug, the first couple times this happened I genuinely thought someone else had been on my account lol.

Don’t remember this ever happening in FH4 though, maybe only on Xbox One s/x it was a problem then?

It happened in FH4 on PC too. Log out with a DLC car and return to my Audi TT.

Interesting, I’ve never experienced this is FH3 or FH4 but maybe my memory isn’t serving me well. I’ve hardly played 100 hours of FM7 and less than 5 in FM6 so I doubt I’d have experienced it in those if it was a bug.

Same exact experience as you. Never had it happen in FH 3 or 4 or FM7. Happens all too often in FH 5. Not a dlc trigger either. Annoying!

Has definitely been an issue for several releases now (FH5, FH4, maybe even FH3, definitely FM7 and maybe even FM6 too). Not an “every time” thing, but for me it usually seemed to coincide with game updates or if something didn’t load in properly (which makes sense - you need a “default” that everyone has in memory, just like how the game would default to a generic offline Playlist if the server connection can’t be made, rather than have the game glitch out)

Would agree that DLC cars are the trigger…I am regularly being put into the Bronco when I start the game up, regularly being every other time pretty much…this would, however, be explained as I almost always get into the Formula Drift Supra prior to exiting the game

Does same to me puts me in the starter car in my case the Toyota Supra, its no biggie easy enough to change to the car you want.

Have experienced this in FH4 and FH5. In FH4 if I ended the game in the Peel Trident for example, the game starts with the 69’ Dodge Challenger. And in FH5 I got resetted to the Bronco, Corvette or Supra just chosen which one of them I have driven the last. So in these terms FH5 is more flexible as you got all three starting cars from the beginning. Not like FH4 where you have to qualify in one racing type first to get to the next tier.
