Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85

Before there was the Audi V8, the Dutch already stuck Audi’s aluminium V8 into the middle of a supercar and called it the Spyker C8. Spyker made cars in the early days of the automobile until 1926, and returned around the change of century with an obscure supercar. The most potent version, the Double 12S had the supercharged V8 from the Double 12R race car, making 620 PS in the highest state of tune, propelling it to a claimed 345 km/h. Spyker would later finish fifth in class at Le Mans, and produce several more variants of the original C8, but the Double 12S remained the benchmark.
