Seeing that cross country is my new favorite type of race, this trial should be VERY fun

No interest in the chicken suit, though, even if I don’t already have it. So likely to skip the Trial.

First attempt at playground games started like this. Why when we have fewer players on our team, do we get one king and the other team gets three? How does that work?

My team mates quit and so did I.

Good spot, I’ve updated the first post.

That’s strange, because I just did it.

You sure? I just completed it but it didn’t pop when I went past 208, instead I had to get the ultimate speed skills like it says above. (Which takes not very long at all if you maintain the speed.)

All you have to do is find the right stretch of highway, you know, the one with the tunnels that runs N - S on the map and voila, it’s an easy, repeatable task for sure.

It’s possible that I coincidentally passed 208 mph, and at the same time got 5 Ultimate Speed Skills… however I was told to pass 208 mph.

Why 5 road events when you guys know how long it takes to load anything. Just why? To waste our time even more? This garbage takes long enough every week, you don’t need to make it worse.

There is overlap between the weekly challenge and the seasonal events which can be done in the same car.

yup. had my slingshots done in the first two races of the UK championship and 2 road wins once the championship was complete. got the other 3 wins in the mcclaren cup.

5 races aren’t even that bad. people will find anything to complain about these days.

Quick reminder that the Hoonigan RS200 can be de-tuned to S1 for the Seasonal Playground Games Championship

Tips & Miscellany

The Trial

  1. Arthur’s Seat Cross Country
  2. Whitewater Falls Cross Country
  3. Ambleside Rush Cross Country

Won this on first try. We won two first races by getting all top podium places. Last one was formality.

Build '17 Maserati Levante S for this and it turned out to be pretty fast. It’s bit different that it doesn’t start like a rocket, but it’s fast, fast enough to jump past checkpoint after a hill on last race if you don’t watch out. I only lost first race because I don’t remember CC routes very well (finished third), won the second event and nobody was really paying that much of attention in third race, but I kept trying a bit but made few errors. Tune shared.

Tips: On first route, Arthurs Seat, take the tunnel! On last route, Ambleside Rush, check the minimap to align your jumps with checkpoints.

Playground games: Got this on first try. We were 5 vs. 4 and entire opposing team quit after first event.

PR Stunts: Bugatti Veyron SS except for Nether End Speed Zone where I used Hoonigan RS200 S1
Tips: On Danger Sign, approach from left so you don’t bottom out and lose speed.

Showcase Remix: Hovercraft finished in 2:15.305. It was pretty weird since I hit Hovercraft at least two times (just wanted to see if I could) and then it hit me once while crossing over my route.

Championships

Completed vs. Unbeatable Drivatars with stock vehicles. Braking line, manual, no TC etc.

Note: I combined some of weekly Forzathon challenge (win Road Events) with championships. I recommended to do that because it can be a big time saver.

Championship: “Old Blighty”
Did this with McLaren Senna. Two out of three races in champ are on wet road. I finished second on first event and won other two for the championship.

Recommended car: McLaren Senna, but consider upgrading it a bit. It rear tends to get loose costing time and causing other issues.

Championship: “McLaren Cup”
All races were on wet roads. Kept using McLaren Senna. I found this to be far more difficult than “Old Blighty”. I was again able to win two events. Edinburgh Station Circuits, which IMO was easiest and Holyrood Run. Last race, Moorhead Wind Farm Circuit was very difficult for me. I kept retrying but best position I was able to get was 4th. That was enough to win the championship however.

General tip: It’s good strategy to focus winning first Edinburgh Station and Holyrood Run to maximise championship points.

Recommended car: McLaren Senna, but consider upgrading it a bit. It rear tends to get loose costing time and causing other issues.

Championship: “Spring Developer Championship”
Did this with '11 Ferrari FF which has rather low PI (S1 815) and recommended to use it. I tried this first with Nissan GT-R Black Edition but it understeers way too much on first route.

Routes are bit different, there is Broadway Village Circuit by Rikolska which is great technical track IMO. Would have enjoyed it more if race were been on lower class.
Then I did Long Loop by Matzwhat which is rather high speed route, quite nice. Near the end, watch out driving line to Bridge after traffic island though, I think some Drivatars hit hard obstacle part of bridge.
Last one, Home Run by Pickerchu is another rather high speed circuit. It’s two laps race and there are two issues here. First one is that Drivatars may miss one of the checkpoints after leaving Festival area. Other is that first one may get some sort of super lead where it doesn’t even show up anymore, at least on Unbeatable, very difficult to catch. It’s however great route. I had enough points to win the championship but gave it another go anyway and liked it more once I was bit more familiar with it. On my second try every Drivatar front of me missed that one checkpoint.

Recommended car: '11 Ferrari FF. It’s nimble and fast enough to handle both, technical and high speed route. If I were to upgrade something, that would be brakes because of those two high speed events.

Weekly#Forzathon

  • I found Greendale Super Sprint to be relatively easy event to win and used that to get my 5th win
  • For last challenge, like written above, it needs 5 Ultimate Speed skills, instead of surpassing the top speed of 208mph as indicated to complete. I completed this on route which goes from Edinburgh towards lighthouse and Bamburgh castle. Very easy. Motorway is other possibility.

Ooft two cars in the shop that I don’t have yet. First time that’s happened in about a year.

Hopefully it brings the Apollo prices down in te auction house again.

Bought an Apollo for 1000FP - sold in Auction House for 10Million CR … most are listed higher @16M buyout …

Has anyone else come up against “Owen’s Car” in the McLaren Cup? Whoa. Blew my 720s PO away on the Holyrood circuit.

I did, used my S2 Senna, still an easy win. Could be because i only went to the Highly Skilled Drivatar difficulty.
“Owen’s Mclaren” probably has the same stats as a normal Mclaren P1 once tuned to just below S2998 by the Forza-PI System. So if it was Unbeatable, it was business as usual.
Also, why didn’t you use the Senna?
