A friend of mine has found himself in the Trial in an X class car sometimes, without him having done anything to intentionally cause it to happen. It sometimes puts you into it in the car you’re already in, but I don’t know what causes it to happen.

Yeah, really weird. Onto tuning and trying out all the rest of the lotus’s now

X Class Aston Martin DB11 PO killed it this Forzathon Weekly.

It’s a decent drifter. I didn’t do the Drift Zone part on the Mainland but it 3 stars the LEGO Valley Drift Zones pretty easily.

For the Speed Trap, start at the end of the City Suburbs Drift Zone. Got 233 mph on my second try.

It’s unfortunate that all the good cars for this challenge are rare. I remember the very first time this came out and I had neither a DB11 PO nor an 812 Superfast. I think I got it with the Aston Martin V12 Vantage but man was it a major pain.

Am I the only one who has everything except the future daily challenges and trial done and only showing 73% complete for the season?

I’ve got the (obviously) 6 daily challenges, Spring Games, Highly Sprung and Ferrari Rocher to do and I’m at 76%

You try rebooting the game?

Sure did. Still at 73%

Second racing game this week I’ve had an issue with. Nothing like pulling in a million bucks on that other game and having it disappear…has me HEATed

Sorry meant to say rebooted the Xbox. Like, shut it down, power off.

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks online seasonal events plus PR stunts for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, all shared. ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don’t forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: “Team Lotus” | Road Racing | (A800) Lotus cars
**Car used: 1971 Lotus Elan Sprint (Autoshow 57,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Road / 299 110 936

A.I. behavior this week - solo, testing/trying for trial, blueprinted tracks (same conditions), unbeatable, the A.I. seem slower than online, but for Goliath where they seem the same apart from two things, in solo, no matter how fast they were when passed, as soon as passed they never left rear view distance the other issue is to do with in the trial. Online in trial, Goliath very quick, and pull away when you catch them, only braking/slowing on ‘red’ corners, never on yellow (colours are my POV, assume much the same for others)
On to the tune, it is not the fastest, however it can out corner everything else (except when the A.I. misbehave ~ see above), great grip even in the rain. Will beat unbeatable A.I., may not beat teammates in tuned cars. One issue in the trial for this car to watch out for is it is very light, as such the A.I. force-field thingie will push you clean off the track if/when it happens before you can react to it (my experience, I assume it is related to weight as teammates bumping me was also a problem even in light taps). Tune is AWD, with Forza air.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Mudkickers’ | (B700) Retro Rally
**Car used: 1980 Renault 5 Turbo (Autoshow 120,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Rally Trial / 933 218 659

Renault 5 from recent trial, works great at mudkickers, has grip (unlike almost anything else I saw my follow gamers bringing), stable, no flipping over on big jumps (getting air on less than ideal angles and unmovable objects are another thing entirely). AWD, Forza rear air, mud-flaps.

PR Stunts:
-Nether End Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - ‘S900 Rally Trial’ (680 307 281) - this took some effort as if you come in with too much lead in speed (uphlll end of zone), you’ll go over the first hill and land with no slowing distance for the corner,
-Slate Quarry Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544),
-Northbound Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544) - provided you can keep it on the ground for most of the run in to the jump this is easy, still I was only ever able to hit the jump at around 250kph at most.

Cheers.

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: “Ferrari Rocher” | Street Scene | (S1 900) Modern Supercars & Country: Italy
**Car used: 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV (Autoshow 500,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Road / 155 922 889

Not a Ferrari. Street scene, you need luck, luck to not run into oncoming traffic, if you don’t use rewind such events can cost the race, even with rewind you may not b able to get to a better position, so wish for luck. I tried to go with a cheaper car, considering the vintage races event (below), car is AWD from factory, has Forza air (max).

**Championship: “Old Habits Die Hard” | Road Racing | (B700) Vintage Racers
**Car used: 1926 Bugatti Type 35 C (Autoshow 10,000,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Road / 107 983 782

Wanted to use the Auto Union, as RWD, but decided (for me) winning the Ambleside event would be difficult, Auto Union in B class lacks the lateral grip for good tight cornering - great on long sprints, just not here. So I used the Bugatti, which it turns out is great for tight corner tracks, very nimble and balanced. AWD tune, running race tires.

**Championship: “Highly Sprung” | Dirt Racing | (B700) Hot Hatch
**Car used: 2016 Abarth 695 Biposto (Autoshow 48,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Dirt / 809 971 784

Fun little rally car, great in the dirt/mud sections in these events, if a little slow in the top end. FWD tune, rally tires, rally suspension. Practically just point the front wheels where you want to go, and it goes that direction.

Enjoy.

The Trial this week was a blast for me. Decided to use my near top of the class Exige. First race our team lost, I came in 2nd. Second race we won, 3 people quit during the race. Third race, The Goliath, I got out front to 3rd while 2 team mates quit, leaving the other lone player in last place as they were the other two races. I was praying he would quit as well so I could maybe have a chance at winning it by myself(a personal goal). Once we got to the Gardens they quit, giving me the points needed to win by remaining in 3rd. I spent the rest of the race chasing 2nd and 1st place, eventually passing both and winning 650-0! Favorited the Lotus Eleven and maxes out the skill tree as I had definitely earned that one! Goliath Win

Edit: link got messed up, don’t know how to format on iPhone, oh well

Here’s your opportunity to break the game, for only 600FP. Yes, the car is that good.

Goliath A800 is nowhere near the monster it is at S2998. Take advantage of that.

For me the fastest cars on Goliath almost always were Lotus 340R’s. Then, I didn’t encounter a Drivatar that wouldn’t top at about 165 - 167 mp/h. Also, finishing at about 11 minutes would be finishing way ahead of Drivatars, not on minimap for sure and if I finished at about 10:46 only one Drivatar finished before race timer run out.

Could be used to pinpoint if there’s some sort of speed threshold Drivatars can’t pass at A800.

I have experienced players with S1 900 cars appearing in B700 races couple of times. In those races it didn’t had any influence in Drivatar performance I could tell, but Goliath is different. Combination where there’s X-class car and Drivatars get beyond players visual bubble might trigger something.

Drivatar dynamics isn’t decided solely by player car PI, at least tests I run for B700 Dirt, Drivatars adapted to different tunes, despite all tunes being B700. One way to test if there’s some sort of performance estimation that isn’t visible to players via GUI could be building a speed built for this Trial, something a very good player could keep on the road and see what happens with Drivatars on Goliath.

Previously mentioned Lotus 340 R was worst offender what I saw, those looked at times like they had infinitive grip and most perfect differential settings. Very difficult to beat on Northern section of Goliath.

Ferrari 812 Superfast starting by Drift Zone through ‘S’ Bends works best.

New Ferrari is an ok drifter, but scores less points than Viper. Thus, useless. In this game you need torque and angle to drift, Ferrari feels too stable despite 1069 Nm of torque.

Also the sound is low-pitched yet again. Since it’s a Fiorano, it’s not gonna sound like a 599 GTO. But it also won’t sound like an SL65 AMG.

However, the sample doesn’t feel too far off from the real one, even though I’m 99% sure it’s recycled from another car, with just some new effects on top (supercharger and gears possibly).

One of the most interesting things about these cars (not just the Ferrari) is how they run two calipers on the rear discs (yes, I checked for authenticity!), for obvious reasons. The motorsport development that goes in these drift cars is alien to me, but very intriguing to analyze.

The concept of a drift Ferrari, with a Ferrari engine, is amusing. The Superfast in stock form is a pretty good drifter as well.

I’m glad I’m not the only person struggling with the speed trap in the weekly challenge. I know the upgraded cars can hit the right speed, but so far I’ve maxed out at 355kmh. If you don’t have the PO DB11 (I have the other one) or the Ferrari 812, the F12 seems to be the way to go.

Someone above suggested fiddling with the aero, which might help because handling seems to be the other issue with these cars when they get deep into S2 class. I kept getting wobbles as I turned the corner onto the straight.

And then there are the lampposts, trams and inconsiderate AI cars all flouting social distancing.

(As a side note, I feel it should be possible to complete a challenge by upgrading a car rather than have to delve into the world of tuning, which is far too arcane for my tastes.)

Hi there, I’m trying to do the daily task where it asks you to combine the drift and pass skills to make a show off skill point twice…

I’ve done it several times but I never get it passed, I’ve tried it in the super GT and several other cars and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong…

Do you have to be in a forzathon event to complete these?

Any help would be great thanks

I sometimes struggle with this one. Passing a car requires driver control and usually my drifts are a bit out of control. You need to do them in any race with wide bends - I’ve got most of mine in races near Bamburgh Castle. There are some blueprints which can make getting them easier although I usually try a normal race first.

The challenge isn’t live until 3:30 pm Saturday (U.K.time).

For anyone struggling there are lots of YouTube videos showing technique. STEVEtheP1R4TE has done several and his blueprint at Broadway Village Circuit is No. 1 on the “Best Of The Month” tab there.
Requires a Vintage Racer. 23,322 gamers have tried it and it has 7,422 likes. Share code 937 609 574

Thanks for the help, although it not being live until 3.30 probably explains lol I made a blueprint lastnight of my own track and made it 20 laps long it took me over an hour to complete and got multiple show offs but for the life of me couldn’t figure out why they wouldn’t count, now I know why lol
