Hi, implement the spectator mode in the private lobby, so in this way we can make live races with the streamers live, or create a maximum of 2 or 3 slots for the streamer in the lobby, but don’t remove the spectator mode , it’s important to create competitions strummed by commentators

I love league racing, Ive done it for a few years on F1 now. I’ve even streamed races with myself dribbling commentary over the top to the enjoyment of my viewers. F1 23 is stale, and Ive lost motivation due to the endless things wrong with it. Since picking up Forza again (forza 5 was the last one I really got my teeth into) I’m enjoying racing, its a breathe of fresh air, the cars, the tracks even the featured multiplayer is a fantastic I’m really into right now.
I wont be alone here in saying we crave to see league racing flurish on forza motorsport. I would love to load up twitch and see the variety of classes that would be on show.
Someone else has made the point of allowing 2 spectators when in private lobbies, I believe this would solve the problem of not taking up a slot during feature events, whilst still giving us the platform to organise and stream league races.
Cmon and give the people what they want

How can you compete with all of these racing games that stream racing tournaments
Please give us back spectate for featured and private lobbies. Sometimes we just want to stay in the lobbies with our friends and not race (grab a bite to eat or something) or be kicked out of the lobby due to inactivity.
Oh and this needs to be real time like FM6 and not with a delay like FM7.

" The spectator mode news was revealed Esaki in the Forza Monthly August 2023 livestream, where he confirmed that several [Forza Motorsport ‘legacy features’ would not be appearing] in the latest game. On the topic of spectate mode in FM 8 specifically, Esaki said: “Having players come into a featured multiplayer event and taking player slots, and then spectating? It’s not really the racing [Turn 10] had intended”."

Okay but then what about private lobbies? We cant even spectate those.

It would be really cool if, during an online match, while we are in the pits, not training and waiting for the race, we could watch the other players’ training. Also, when finishing the race in the top positions, we also wait for the race to finish with a blurred screen, and it would be interesting to follow the end of the race.
I think it would be interesting to add these features.

This would be great for featured multiplayer practice. I’m not always hot lapping during practice so it would be great to spectate others.

Let us watch our friends in private multiplayer do something cool in real time and not have to use saved clips and same for featured. If I finish a race why can’t I spectate others still on track rather than just watch the results screen for 2 minutes. I don’t know how this wasn’t a feature on lunch? Especially in private multiplayer where more often than not your messing around with mates or trying to work out how to be that little bit faster on a track. Being able to spectate in real time would make this much more enjoyable and easier

With the recent broadcast of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge, it was clear that the community is still itching to watch fast drivers compete against each other on Forza.
Spectate mode would be a fantastic feature to extend the longevity of this game. The replay cameras on Forza Motorsport (2023) are the best we’ve had, and there aren’t really any improvements needed to those other than the ability to watch them live. I would love to see the return of overlays including a ticker/scoreboard, a track map, and on-screen telemetry - or the ability to create our own overlays of those features using Forza’s “Data-out” functionality.
Below is a bit of a novel about why I feel Spectate Mode would be so beneficial to the game.
Spectate mode has been a staple of Forza for multiple generations of the game. Whether it’s used to broadcast major competitive tournaments like the LMGC, or small community racing leagues, watching racing - not just participating in it - is part of what brings our community together. That’s why I think it’s so important to bring back Spectate Mode in the latest iteration of the game.
We saw in FM7’s later years that broadcasted events hosted by TORA and others maintained a strong (albeit smaller) community of players well beyond the final release of new DLC content and updates. Not only were community-run broadcasts a great avenue to watch top players compete, but they also add a sense of quality and importance for league racers of all skill levels. Forza Motorsport (2023) is the first game in Forza Motorsports’ history that deviates from the classic “every-two-years” development cycle, and maintaining a consistent active player base into the distant future is important for the continued success of this game.
Another thing spectate mode offers is the ability to reach new players. Broadcasted sim racing on twitch, with clips shared to X, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, serves as great advertising for Forza Motorsport as it is played the right way, with clean, respectful racing.
I assume there are mixed feelings about spectate mode behind the scenes, as Chris Esaki mentioned before the game, “Having players come into a Feature Multiplayer event, and taking players slots, and then spectating, it’s not really the racing that we had intended.” I can see the reasoning behind this, especially with Featured Multiplayer races often full. But at least give us the option to spectate private multiplayer, a lot of the hardcore/passionate players will thank you for it.

It’s like they’re edging us with features. THIS is why competition is so important in the market, there is no realistic competition to this game therefore they can withhold and add whatever features they want whenever they want. Not having a spectator mode or being able to adjust tire deg in a private lobby is actually unacceptable and I am almost to the point of wanting to buy a PlayStation just so I can play a racing game that actually facilitates league racing and doesn’t make it a chore to do. The lack of features in this game is purposely done and I promise PlayStation and Gran Turismo will be getting my money very soon if these developers do not step it up.
