specialty dealer

If you want to ā€œlet users post what they feelā€, then let me post what I feel too, which is in this case sharing my opinion that I think the focus should be on bigger issues than the house-icon not showing up in the Specialty Dealer. You basically told me to shut up, because no one should be told to shut up.

Another disappointing day at the special vendor.

I use to save up credits all week and make sure I was logged in to grab a low production number car from the Specialty Dealer. After so many repeats, this was the first week I forgot to even look. I was online for the May Forzathon and noticed a ā€˜new’ flag on the SD. And of course… all repeats. I’m still seeing 21 locked cars in my game and we’ve only had 4 new SD cars this year.

This thread is to complain about the game, not to complain about people complaining. You can create your own thread to complain about people complaining if you’d like.

I was lazy and impatient the first time I bought a car I already owned in the SD. I don’t expect the developers to work unpaid overtime because of my laziness and impatience that will save me less than 10 seconds a week.

Exactly my point. Thank you.

Your point is that poor game design is ok because customers shouldn’t be lazy?

No one is saying they shouldn’t fix bigger problems…it’s that they should design the game and menus in a better way in future games, like they have in previous games.

It’s like you’re reading what you want to read, and getting offended that someone thinks a feature is poorly designed because you think other issues are bigger, but that isn’t the point I’m making. Nowhere did I say ā€œfix the specialty dealer before you fix the game crashing for someā€ so youre basically not replying to me at all. You’re replying to some imaginary post. All I’m saying is many features in this game are poorly designed. I’m explaining why they’re poorly designed in hopes they get fixed in the future. The fact I think they might get rid of a feature has NO bearing on whether it needs to be improved or not so your last question wasnt even valid.

The fact that there’s almost 70 pages of posts with the majority being negative comments/complaints about the specialty dealer shows that you’re in the minority here. You may like the way the specialty dealer is designed but many many many others don’t. Why does this offend you???

But do you expect them to, from now on, have the forethought to put it in future installments of the game?

I mean, we get that many of these fixes might cost too many man hours to fix, therefore at this point, isn’t worth it.

But perhaps they can have the forethought to design the game in a better way in the future? Is that asking too much?

Complaining online in forums and social media in Mass numbers might not change the current game, but it sure as hell can have an impact on the next game that comes out. That could be the point here.

I’m willing to bet the next Forza does not have a specialty dealer because of the backlash(or at the very least revamp it). I don’t, however, expect them to change it on Fm7.

Makes sense, no?

Then why do you spend your time complaining about poor design in the Specialty Dealer with the purpose of letting developers know, it should be fixed in future installments, when you seem pretty damn sure it won’t even be in the next installment?

The feature either needs to be revamped or removed or else people will keep complaining…duh.

What is it that you’re not understanding? People don’t like features. People voice their opinions. Features will change or not based on how many people like it or not.

Why are you taking complaints so personal. Did you yourself design the specialty dealer and are sad that no one likes it? It makes zero sense complaining about how others don’t like certain features. Care to explain why you take others opinions so seriously if you yourself aren’t even part of the team that designed this feature. The feature is not liked well. Get over it. Hopefully with continued complaints it will get revamped or removed in future installments. Not very hard to comprehend.

I’m not all that sure about this point. I think it is wishful thinking on your part.

I don’t think it is the feature that is not well liked, but rather the choice and rotation of what is being offered

Now, this point is valid. You can hope for change, but regardless of the number of complaints, change is not guaranteed.

For sure. I’m not talking in absolutes. I’m just saying, generally if you want change, you should voice your opinion.

Many people have voiced their displeasure about the specialty dealership…be it the choice or the menu or anything else.

A product is more likely to change with customers voicing their complaints. It worked with vip. It might work with horizon 4 or fm8. We’ll see. I’ll just never get the people that get offended when people don’t like a feature that has nothing to do with them personally.

What does caution clock care if me or many others don’t like certain features? No need to put words in my mouth assuming I want them fixed as priority, for example (something I never said).

I’m understanding this all perfectly. What I think you don’t seem to understand is that I’m not taking your complaints personal, but I do think some complaints that are being voiced, are somewhat selfish and I’m free to say that. (If I do cross a line here, I’d love to here that from a moderator and I’d be sincerely sorry). I’d much rather have Turn10 fixing the start up issue, which I’m not even suffering from, because for me it’s working just fine, than them fixing one tiny (not-even-per-sĆ©-necessary) house-icon not showing up. I’m just glad that, unlike for some other people, for me the game actually starts up. I’m allowed to say that I think a certain complaint could be considered a non-issue in the development of the game right now. You giving me a hard time for what you consider, me giving others a hard time, is not helping the house-icon ā€œissueā€.

It’s never guaranteed, but more complaints will make change more likely. I guess we’ll see how much Turn 10 values feedback in FM9.

The sarcastic and flippant replies to complaints (not just this one) hardly help things either. If the original post is respectful and the suggestion improves the games, I see no reason to have a negative attitude to it.

Developers and players should always strive for ways to improve the current or upcoming games, that’s what can make games great.

Curious one this. I knew they are all duplicates again. But, I went through the motion of checking each one and on the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged I didn’t get the message saying your collector score won’t increase. So I purchased it. Turns out I did buy it on 29 November 2017 #544, collector value 127, class B573. The one I purchased today #7176 is collector value 171, but still class. B573. So I assume my collector score has increased by 44; which I think is what the message said when I purchased it. Anyone come across this before? Seems you need to check them even when they are duplicates. Check it out.

Yep, I’ve had that happen. I don’t know about the land rover, cause it just doesn’t do it for me.
