The gold and chrome are still the first two special paints even though it should be matt.
After all the updates would it be possible to have this fixed?
I have reinstalled the game twice and it’s still there.
That’s weird, mine used to say gold and chrome but they say semi-gloss (I think) and matte now.
It was fixed in the first/second patch - has been right for some time now (not that many of the complainers noticed or said thanks for fixing it).
The problem still is there for me and no updates appear to have fixed it.
It was still there for me right up to last week, not been at home since the last update so not sure if it will be fixed when I get home.
It was still there for me before this weeks patch. I’ve not checked it since the patch.
Is there a secret to getting this fixed?
After do a fresh install of game and update the issue still exists.
Update number 5 or 6 and the issue still remains T10.
Please fix this, it’s driving me nuts.

It is definitely fixed for me - I am wondering if there is something else that fixed it, like one of the car packs. What packs do you have (VIP, LaFerrari, etc).
I own all car packs and the VIP membership.
I have also tried installing the disc first and then updating the game after connecting to live.
I wonder if it’s connected to my online saved profile? Is it possible to delete my forza profile?
It is but you will lose everything from your save - and that won’t be it as I have been connected online from day one. Something fixed it, not sure what, but could swear it was the first update. Not the end of the world at least - just annoying.

Yep i can confirm the special paint glitch is still there. The first colour is showing as Chrome and the second is Gold which they aren’t of course. But it doesn’t bother me I guess its just a minor glitch not worth Turn 10 fixing unless its included in a future bugfix update i think were stuck with it but as i said it doesn’t bother me.
Still got this problem, No updates ever fixed it.
Another DLC and the problem still remains.
FFS T10 fix this once and for all.
I’m sure that 5 people won’t convince T10 to fix it since they already tried and did fix it for most people.

If you still have problems with things like this visit ManteoMax’s FAQ thread pinned at the top here and delete your data (NOT your save) and reinstall - DO NOT start playing until everything has been installed fully.
We’ll I did a full re-install and didn’t touch the game until it was finished and the problem is still there.
What worries me is that the update system on the xbox one is obviously broken. How can it fix some and not others and how many updates are not working for other games?

Since this is a pointless “problem” that doesn’t really cause any issues in the game, I doubt it’ll ever be fixed. I think T10 has some actually REAL problems to focus on.
If someone just won’t trust their eyes or throw their monitor/tv out the window because the wording doesn’t match the type of paint, so be it. To 99.99% of the players, this is a non-issue.
