I still have some spots open for our third season. Search “MM Forza Spec League” on Facebook for on discussion. Rules are below and can also be found in the pinned post on the Facebook Group.
Car Rules
- V8 Supercars
#17, #5 Ford Falcon FG X
#1, #14, #22, #97 Holden VF Commodore
#4, #9 Mercedes-Benz AMG V8
#23 Nissan Altima
#33 Volvo GRM S60 - Only upgrades permitted are the brakes and driveline. Stock Motors and tires are to be used. The only exception will be the ovals which we will run all motor upgrades on. Cars must remain RWD. Maximum PI is 792
- Custom liveries are not required but are highly recommended. However, your car number must be displayed on both sides and rear bumper of the car. Front bumper and roof is optional.
Race Rules
-Races will start by 10:05PM EST every Tuesday night. Room will be up much earlier than that for warmup/practice races.
-For the first race we will not be using the handicap groups. Since we are moving to such a drastically different grouping of cars, the handicaps may need to be changed and people moved around. I will move quickly to get the groupings set.
-We are all hoping for close, tight racing. That said, intentional wrecking will not be tolerated.
-Damage will be set to simulation. This includes tire wear and fuel usage.
-The start of the race will include a delayed staggered start. Everyone will run laps 1 and 2 as qualifying laps. We will regroup and get into the correct order during lap 3. The pole winner will lead the field at caution speed to the designated restart zone and will start the actual race on Lap 4 with a rolling single file start. Whatever lap time shows on the pause menu scoreboard will be the time that counts.
- As far as track cutting is concerned, I do not have the resources to police it for the group. So that being said, anywhere that is paved that the game will allow you to go is considered to be in bounds. Cutting through grass, gravel, sand etc is not permitted. An area such as the up hill esses at Spa where it will let you run right next to the wall is permitted. Cutting across the curbs in death alley on Prague is permitted. Etc.
Cautions
-A caution may be called when two or more cars are involved in an accident. An accident being getting hard into the wall, spinning out, major loss of momentum, etc. If it’s a love tap that gets someone a little sideways but that’s it, that is not a caution.
-With damage being turned on, the cars involved in the accident will not be required to go to the back of the field. The damage itself will police that. If you wreck but don’t take damage, or only minor damage, and are able to blend in without a losing a position, well then the Racing Gods have smiled upon you.
-Cautions will be run at 60 MPH for all tracks.
-A caution will last for the remainder of the current lap the leader is on, as well as one additional lap. This is to try and give those involved in a wreck time to pit, get repairs, and get caught back up for the restart. However, if you are damaged and unable to get back to the pits and regroup by the time the leader is ready to take the start, then it is what it is. Hopefully you’ll catch another caution to catch back up.
-If no cautions have occurred when the field starts lap 16, an automatic caution will be called to allow for pitting and to regroup the field. Any caution before lap 16, will be take the place of this planned caution.
Restart Etiquette
-Restarts will be single file.
-The leader may restart the race anywhere within a designated section of the front stretch coming to the start/finish line. This are will be different from week to week but I’ll let everyone know where that is before the start of the race.
-The field may accelerate as soon as they see the leader take off. However, you may not pull out of line or pass before the start finish line.
-All cars are expected to maintain pace.
-The field will be expected to stay close together for restarts. No more than 3 car lengths between cars. If someone is lagging behind, you are free to pass that car for failing to maintain pace. If the leaders take off and the car in front of you is “asleep at the wheel”, you may pass that car.
-Once the leader has committed to going (i.e. changing momentum), that is the restart. The leader may not speed up, slow down and then take off in an attempt to gain an advantage.
Network Issues
- I will recreate the room at 9:50PM EST. It seems using a room that has been in existence for a long period of time will cause network issues sometimes.
-After the leader starts lap 5, the race is considered to be official and no restarting of the race for network issues will be permitted. If someone gets lagged out before the start of lap 5, the group will quit the race in an attempt to get that person back in the race.
-We will not restart a race more than once.
-A working mic is required for all races. We try and communicate with each other to minimize wrecks from not knowing where someone is.
Points
- Race winner will receive 30 points
- Second place will receive 28 points
- Third place will receive 27 points, etc etc
- The driver with the fastest certified lap time of the race will receive 1 bonus point added to their total points for finishing position. Such as, if the third place finisher has the fastest certified lap time of the race, he would receive 28 points total.
- Anyone that starts the race but cannot finish it either due to network lag out or whatever will receive the points as if they’d finished the race in last.
- Anyone that does not start the race (doesn’t show up), will receive 0 points for that race.
New Drivers
-Anyone wanting to join our league, I will need your gamertag and car number. Car numbers may not be duplicated.
-For the first race as a new driver, you will be required to run the Group 2 handicap. After that, I will assess what group you should be in and move you for the next race.

Groups and Handicaps
Below is what group and what handicap each driver is going to run with. Anyone that does not run race 1 will run Group 2 for their first race, and then be adjusted from there. Also, the groups themselves, as well as the handicaps, are adjustable throughout the season. It may take a couple races to get everything just right, but I am going to stay on top of it as far as fine tuning the groups.
Group 3 - TBD
Group 2 - TBD
Group 1 - TBD
The only way to test with the handicaps in place for those of you in Groups 2 and 3 is in an online lobby. To reiterate, anyone that did not run race 1, you will be required to run Group 2 for the first race you run this season. After the race, I will evaluate and see what group you should be in.
