Spa racing line?

So, I have had the game for couple weeks now, and I have started to understand how to tune & drive in here.
Today I thought that I would set myself a couple LB times, just to see where I stand an general.

Looking at my friends LB times I expected that I could pull off top 500-1500 times with cars that I have standing in my garage. These cars didn’t have any track specific tune, but they were tuned in Spa so I thought that it would be best place to try them out.
I pulled off C, B, and A, class times and they weren’t terrible but I managed only pull off barely top 2000 times, and were clearly over 2 seconds off from the times I was expecting. So I thought that I must have my racing line off at least somewhere. so I went to check C class LB 1 time replay (currently held by ONR Chronic) and I was shocked on turn 4(?) on top of the hill.

That car is a mile off from the track!
Now I have to ask, what’s going on over here?
is this some known issue, or what?
And are there any more of these shortcuts on other tracks?

I had seen couple times how some drivers cut across from there, and I just thought they were corner-cutters, but apparently I was wrong about that.

Unfortunately it has been deemed acceptable by T10 to completely leave the track at that point of the track. Frustrating when some corners you cant even touch the wheels on the rumbles!

I think the rule of thumb on this corner is to cut it for the LBs, but ti stay on the track during a race.

Since it is a known thing, and has generally been accepted as being in the game, I see no problem with it during hotlapping - afterall, you are the only car on the track and it’s something everyone can take advantage of.

Doing this during racing though is something else entirely and I wouldn’t do it. As F4H Trash said, try to keep at least two wheels within the white lines, and as always, avoid hitting other cars.

Yeah if you get into league racing those kind of antics dont go down too well , you should always keep 2 wheels within the white lines .

Allright then, If it is only that one corner, then it isn’t game braker… Unfortunate, specially as it is on what has become my favorite track. but we can live with it.

I just do my best to stay on track but in some cars it is difficult to avoid.

Yas Hole, however, I stay away from at ALL times.

its a cheap line to use, don’t understand why they left it like that.

If your going for LB times, the best thing to do is go around each corner slowly and figure out exactly where you can go off the track without getting a dirty lap time. There are quite a few spots on Spa where I can use the grass to help pull my car in a corner and exit with my inside tires barely on the rumble strips and keep it clean. Online I like to avoid the obvious LB tactics to make the races more interesting.
