Something ironic I've noticed.

In 1932, the Ford Deluxe Coupe was worth a whopping $490.00US. That’s roughly $8,321US accounting for inflation alone.

If one includes the car’s collectable nature and modified versions, then the price ranges from the above to about $150,000US.

Price in game auction house: $20,000,000

The community has decided that a car that on average is worth about $45,000 IRL, is now inexplicably worth $20,000,000 in game.

Wow.

Just, . . . Wow.

Nice work you guys. Henry Ford would be proud.

Its all about greed, not everyone will be able to get that car,so the ones with legendary paint status will buy them up and behold,a $20 million dollar car!!!

If I thought I’d get a shot at buying another, I’d be tempted to sell mine like that . . . As it sits, I just want to have another so I can recreate the '32 from American Graffiti

Keep an eye on the AH during the week, you can get better deals then,i snagged a Jag 7 HE car for $726.000,a heck of a deal, they go well over 2 mil, close to 4 sometimes.

Search a few times every time you are in the garage. I’ve landed some extra deluxes by searching 3-5 times each time I stop in the garage. 19,000 to 147,000 per car, but be ready to hit that Y button quick as they sell within seconds. Half the time or even more often the auction is already closed but it beats grinding out 20,000,000 credits to buy one.

What i’ve noticed is that the people who are usually winning the multi-million-dollar auctions are other legendary painters who just resell them again. These people are idiots…

At least they’re not making the start bid 20 million on 99% of them, unlike how the RX7 auctions usually are.

I’ve managed to snag myself 5 more of them barely breaking 400K total. I actually use them for different purposes, i really have no interest in making money off of them.

You really have to want it.

That’s if one assumes that 1 CR = $1.
It doesn’t however, 1 CR = $0

As for the car however, I auctioned off my copy today for the bare minimum and it got snapped immediately. I may be a Legend Painter but unlike those flipping cars on the Auction House for crazy prices I actually spent a lot of time painting

can we do a tokens to dollars conversion?

yeh tokens are a rip off, not worth buying

1 token = - too much $

Not sure where the irony is

All i see is greed greed and more greed

It applies to nearly every “rare” car in the auction house but yet there is still stupid people feeing that greed

Since I have started playing I have been on a budget of racing vs spending to keep a small nest egg for future purposes and having to grind out extra skill points to pay for upgrades, this has worked well for a few months of racing.

The last couple of months I have been learning to drift in the carpark, driting in there does not build skill chains (not sure why) it also does not pay anything for a win. Due to the cost of special cars for drifting, and having to pay for many upgrades on many cars to test what does and doesnt work my nest egg ran dry.

Luckily I am also a real life car custom car painter, so that drew me to painting in here, I have only ever done muscle cars, drag cars and customs in here and all of my paints are maxed out layers regardless of how simple they look, usually with weeks of work in them. It showed in downloads of 2500 per day and my 5 star rating came in just 6 weeks.

Since I have achieved the 5 stars I have been flipping a few cars to boost my nest egg back up to around 200m so now I can go back to drifting and painting and be able to enjoy the rest of my game without having to budget and go without, I can even afford the luxury of swapping cars without having to drive to the festival site for 10k at a time.

When I flip a car I always start the auction at minimum bid but leave the buy out high enough to discourage anyone buying it out (usually 10m) they sell for what people want to pay without extorting them to pay a min bid of 10 - 20m, usually they go for around 5m, sometimes they get bought out but at least they get them at half what the others are listed for.

I have boosted my bank balance and have stopped buying cars now as I have no desire to max out my account, if I did buy out one you were trying for - my appologies.

PS there are hundreds listed every day for 19k, you just have to refresh the search often and be quick on that button if you want one. There is plenty to go around, for everyone.

Just sit on the Auction House for a few hours and you won’t be able to use all the ones you bought out for 19,000 within that timespan lol. Same thing with the RX-7 and (for a short while) the Forzathon cars.

Do as TwinMagician says if you have the time as there are occasional Ford 1932’s is “listed for 19K, you just have to refresh the search often and be quick on that button if you want one. There is plenty to go around, for everyone.”

I have got one yesterday for 19K and now have three S1 Hot Rods for a total of about 13 million CRs that are cruising around the Australian mainland.
Must thank the person who put my third Hot Rod up for 19K yesterday as it has come to a good home here in the UK and will not be sold on at an enormous profit! Thanks for the seller(s) of the other two as well as I did the normal bidding process to get some very nicely painted '32’s from a Legendary Painter too.
Here’s hoping that we get a Hot Rod pack, been asking for them since FM3 & FH1!!!
