I just noticed the RWD conversion actually makes the car lighter (like it should) which makes me wonder, did Turn 10 make a mistake to begin with by making the RWD conversion increase weight? It seems to me, all the AWD cars we’ll be getting from now on, will be fixed, and the increase of weight was never meant to be there to begin with.
It’s probably because the Bentley is meant to be converted into the race car and they wanted players to be able to shave off some weight (like the real thing).
RWD adding weight is a balance choice in other cars to prevent the dominance of one drive type over others.
I used to think that also, but I doubt Turn 10 are that silly, the upgrades are balanced using PI, RWD should simply cost the correct amount of PI. Balancing the RWD conversion by increasing weight breaks an unnecessary aspect of realism, and for people who like to just build and race cars (non competitively) it’s really annoying. Imagine if they balanced race tires by decreasing grip.
