Solid Gold Achievement

So I finally completed Year 6, am now wanting to get the Solid Gold achievement and then probably move on to FM4, question is, I’ve seen on one of the achievement guides that to get that reward, you need to complete all races in Season Mode, is this correct? I was hoping that I could just work my way slowly through the event list and get the reward that way but don’t want to muck it up. One thing I have noticed, the endurance races aren’t included in the season mode so surely this is incorrect?

TIA

I read that somewhere too but I think it is wrong. I have read a couple of guides on how to get the achievement and they say you can do it through the events mode. I hope so, I’ve started doing it.

Hey JimB3, how many more races have you got to go to complete the achievement? I’m currently 82 events completed out of 220 and all with gold so quite a way to go. Currently working my way through all the F level races which is very very slow

Same here, I did all the test tracks in event mode the other evening and I’ve never seen those appear in the season mode, although you’d expect them to be some of the first tracks to be done.

Gonna start working my way through them all and risk it

Just looked back at when I posted this, 9 days ago and I’m now 108 races away from completion. I now have all of the testing and amateur races completed to gold, looks like finishing this achievement is going to take me at least 20 or more days to complete as the races are getting longer with more laps :frowning:

Jive1311,

I think I’m at 112. However, I have done parts of other series. I keep buying new cars and doing events that the car qualifies for. Once I get the car to level 5, I quit racing it and buy another car. I usually get one series complete and start another. The series I have completed are scattered all over the board. I find it more entertaining to jump around the board. There are more races and they are longer as you move to the right of the board. Drag racing is the exception.

I was guessing I have 10 to 20 weeks before I finish this. I don’t see the hurry and I don’t want to burn myself out by trying to do them quickly. If I did that I might end up hating the game.

Correction: I think I’m at 122 complete. I count the number I have left and I have 98 left. I remember just recently getting the total left to under 100.

Hi
To get the Solid Gold achievement, you have to achieve a gold trophy in every single race in the Event list in Season Play mode.

This is the most time consuming achievement in the game. You need to finish 220 events in 1st place, and every event consists of 3 or more different tracks.

I hope this helps

I’m gonna say this is incorrect too, none of the drag races or the testing section are in the Season mode, having completed 6 seasons and not seen a single drag race, I’m pretty sure you can complete the achievement by just doing the events.

I suppose, only time will tell. I’m on 107 events to go (not trying to race you JimB3  ) so I’m sure one of us will confirm it at some point in the future

Maybe a bit late, but i can confirm that if you win every race via the event list will eventually give you the solid gold achievement. Thats how I got it a few months ago. As stated previous some race types arent in season play. Why would you want to run season 6 over and over again with some other races in between. I did season 6 roughly 3 times over before only using the event list, i decided to do that beacause allready won events were showing up again in the 3rd run… so in my opinion i was wasting time (although I LOVE endurance class racing).

If I remember correctly solid gold isn’t bound by the edition of the game you own. I have all the limited collectors editions except for F2. If you have an extended edition, then achievements like world tourer ( race at all circuits) needs research to get ( if test track bundled, then you need to do those as well etc)… That one took some time to get on both F3 and F4, took many hours of searching fora and webistes to get those details.

Phew, thanks for the confirmation, makes the struggle to get there so much easier … I shall steam on with the events!

I don’t believe you have to complete the Event List in Season Play mode, even though the achievement says it. I’ve read on several sites that you can complete the achievement doing all the races from the Event List. Several people have said that is how they did it.

So long as you complete all of the events, it shouldn’t matter how you got to them—season play or event list. Some of the events don’t come up during the course of a season, so you’ll have to do some through the event list, anyway.

What I did back in the day was either “buy car, build it out, tune it up, run five races, buy new car, rinse, repeat”, or “buy car, build it out, tune it up, run it, build it out differently (next class up, or back to starting class, whatever different classes it could rate high enough in), tune it up, run it, build it out differently, rinse, repeat”… When I stuck with the same car for a longer period of time, I would then fine-tune the setup a little further than if I only stuck with it for a little while at a time. Those I stuck with longer and ran with different tunes, I usually also used for the endurance events, since I figured I had a better chance with them after all that. If you’re low on cash or just want to be extra efficient, you could go through and look at the event list BEFORE you buy your cars, so that you can cross-reference everything and buy certain cars that can be used in many events. Some cars aren’t legal in as wide a variety of events as some other cars, of course, so you can save time, money, effort, by being aware of that. That was another thing I did.

7 days past and I’m now down to 81 events to go. I’ve now completed all of the top 3 lines completed, 4th line except 1 race as I haven’t got a suitable car in the garage. Once I’ve completed all races, I’ll purchase the cars necessary and go complete those, should leave me with approx 6 cars to purchase.

26 races, completed in 7 days, should be fully completed in 3 and a bit weeks then

Roger Stryker, I can see that’s a good way to complete all the races … personally, I’ve finished all of the season play first, that way I’ve accumulated a lot of cars gifted to me that have been very useful in the events but I have also been going through and purchasing cars from all manufacturers, starting off with the cheapest and working my way up, I currently have 8m CR to spend so looks like a big spending spree at the end but I’m sure I wont have enough to buy all the cars in the game :frowning:

Going through and ranking up for the trophy cars is definitely a sound strategy. As is saving up a load of cash. I did a little bit of that, but found myself getting distracted by other things and losing track of what I had in mind. I’d stop saving money or relying on cars I had won, in favor of picking something else up… Guess that’s not terribly bad, really. I just had to have a Javelin…or two…or five.

Picking up cars from each manufacturer is good, too—especially if you pick one up, race it stock, get the discount, go pick up another car from that manufacturer, race it stock, get the discount, rinse and repeat x5… Heh. Okay, maybe I’m a bit too much of a cheapskate in these games. Starting with the cheaper cars is an all right way to start filling out your collection, but after a while you might want to turn around and start going about it from the other end of the spectrum. I forget what the maximum number of cars you can own is, and if that limit is high enough it may not matter, but if the limit is low, you might want to get the cars you really want to own bought and safely tucked away in your garage ahead of time, just in case. I mention this because it’s the issue I’m running into in FM4, but it might not be applicable at all to FM3… Even without the limit, though, it is probably quicker to save up 10M or so for a high-price Ferrari without all the 5K distractions. Though some of those low-price “distractions” do turn out to be more widely useful cars…

In any case, sounds like good progress on your end!

I thought there wasn’t a limit and you could own all the cars in the game like you could in FM2 as there was a couple of achievements and one was to own all cars … I know that achievement isn’t in FM3.

Hmm … I’ve got 10.5m CR, looked at the Ferrari’s and thought, 11m for the P4, I don’t think I’ll be buying that!

Yep, very good progress since last post, now have 54 races to complete to gold and that’s still including the 6 races where I don’t have the cars for the races. Managed to get my 50 days achievement on here for FM3 yesterday, that’s a feat in itself

Down to 54, that is quick. I am at about 77 or 78. There are a few that are partially completed. I’m thinking early next year to get this done.

Yeah I’ve managed to steam roller through those races, although its now abundantly clear, the remaining 50 I have left are going to take a while longer as they are all 5 or 6 (or maybe more) races per event with a lot more laps.

I can usually get about 2 - 2 1/2 hours per night in on a work day but RL keeps getting in the way :frowning:

Maybe next year for me too … doh!

In FM4 you cannot own all cars in game on one save if you include DLC, without DLC you can. And FYI the cap is 500 in FM3, FM4, FH, FM5 and possibly FH2 as well. Think it is 600 in FM6.

Quick update … I now have 36 events remaining until SG completion. Completed 18 events in the last 8 days but like I said previously, these are the longer races so expecting it to take slightly longer.

I’m also going to be popping onto FM2 to try and complete all the races and purchase all of the cars before moving on to FM4 so I’m expecting a bit of a delay in the SG achievement but making good progress … can’t wait to get it done now though!

Good luck and enjoy the ride!!

Don’t know if you have allready purchased F2, but it isn’t possible anymore to buy DLC.

There are different versions of F2 depending on the region you live in. If you are in the US (NTSC) then there is version that includes all dlc. Do some research on this one, not sure but for the US it was the platinum hits version. If you live in europe (PAL) then the classics version is the way to go, sadly not 100% complete with the DLC. It’s not possible to get the NTSC version working on a PAL xbox sadly, would have loved to have all dlc.

I bought the classics version 2 months ago because it would increase my rewards a bit. Only the 1 Million online credits left to achieve, there’s only 1 achievement broken and can’t be achieved anymore (car broker).

I really hope for you that you allready own F4 with dlc content!
