Shifting without using the clutch when the assists are set to “Manual with clutch”. Which I assume you aren’t doing.
Down shifting without pressing the clutch pedal long enough. This mainly happens when doing double down shifts. Eg: 4-3, 3-2 when going into a corner. This has been an issue since Forza 2. It makes quick downshifts when using an H pattern almost impossible. I’ve been complaining about the unrealism of this issue for a long time. Forza 7 is out and this “feature” still hasn’t been fixed.
I like the Sim Leagues, but id like a game mechanic being added that punishes ramming, ideally based on the severity of the crashes you have caused. For example. insta kick + 24 hr ban for leagues if you crash into people without breaking. Kick and ban for 1hr after you damage 2 cars within one race. Ban for next race after pushing 3 cars off the road or spin them within one race. And maybe on certain tracks the first corner should be ghosted
I prefer contact over ghost leagues as it feels much more like real racing. Do not like simulation damage, especially in larger rooms where accidents are bound to happen. If you get caught up in one that is not your fault. Often times you take so much damage you must pit which then causes you to finish last or near last place. If there’s going to be simulation damage, add 2-3 laps per race and one forced pit stop. If they’re going to be short races,go with cosmetic damage only.
F1 drivers hate when they get wrecked and its not their fault too… but thats part of racing. It happens, just be glad races are every 10 min or so. Would suck getting wrecked in t1 and having to wait 2 weeks to get another shot at it!
F1 drivers also understand racing etiquette and dont go full throttle into the back of the cars in front of them on the first corner. They also dont wait for an entire lap for the filed to come back around so they can crash them. Requests for multiplayer fixes and penalty systems have been common place for a while now, but seem to go unheard.
F1 has blue flags, so suggest that cars about to be lapped are ghosted. This allows leaders to push through without being taken out and stops those waiting a lap to deliberately crash into others dead in their tracks. Agree that T10 seem to ignore suggestions and requests, i’ve seen plenty of good ideas on the forums and don’t recall seeing any get into the game. I’m sure this one wouln’t make it either
contact is part of racing, intentionally ramming other’s cars isn’t. Do that in real life and you pay the price, sometimes with your life. So unless there are some sort of penalties for those rammers I’d stay far, far away from simulation in multiplayer, even if ghost isn’t real racing.
Tried this for the first time today, SUPER irritating. Had a whole bunch of different racers rear-ending me and causing my to slam into walls. When I finally got back on track they did it again. Got away from them, got on to lap 5 of 6, and the game crashed. Lost all my progress in that race.
And what’s with having to quit and enter lobbies like 6 times to get into a race? Seems every time I start, I get put into races that are just starting, so I quit and find another, and the same thing happens. Takes like 5 tries to get into one where the race is almost over and I can wait it out. Seems a bit ridiculous. I don’t have a lot of spare time to play these days, would rather not spend the first 20 minutes trying to get into a race.
This is horrible , please add some sort of penalty system, Gran Turismo sport is so much better than Forza right now because of this. If you start out of the top three it’s just a wreck fest. Please punish those who read not allowing all of us to have a good experience.
That is sad. Means you can tune your tires to disintegrate and set ghost like hot lapping with no real penalty. Sorry, but that just ruins the reasoning behind endurance hopper. So tired of a few squeaky wheels ruoning every hopper for those of us that want races closer to realistic racing.
Guess it is leagues only if you want sim.
I like sim damage because it adds a decent penalty for taking a corner too fast and smashing into the wall. It also limits people from using your bumper as a brake because they will ruin their car if they do it too hard. I just wish they would bring back requiring one stop so people who get minor damage can pit with less penalty than limping a broke car around for the rest of the race.
Yes I am aware that F1 drivers have (some) etiquette on track. The problem with forza is they could force people to learn track etiquette by doing exactly the opposite of what they have done. “People are complaining about wreckers… lets make it so its impossible to wreck each other.” People dont like doing things that are difficult. Racing wheel to wheel is difficult as you are messing with small margins. People likely wont put in the effort to learn unless there is a benefit to them or they are forced. This is general to human nature. With that said if t10 didn’t have any option other than sim people would learn to race. The average and even many of the above average “racers” in forza is not good. Make the people learn to race and the whole community will improve. The game is already set up for this if it worked. Have the levels in leagues be an actual skill level and not a stupid point system that encourages participation and people will work to improve, as people improve they will move away from wreckers… wreckers will stay in the bottom tier by themselves with only noobs and other wreckers.
The point system theoretically is based around skill, so I don’t see how getting rid of it will benefit Leagues. Participation is already encouraged, but people give up at the first sign of failure. People want to rank up, rank up, rank up… without putting in any effort. Leagues basically is set up for those who put in the effort to get better, they progress. No reason to start giving participation trophies to people don’t put in effort. The current league system is far better than that of FM6. The only thing that needs changing is how starting positions are determined. They should be based off of rank and not previous race’s lap times.
Thats exactly my point, its not really setup for those who put in the effort its setup more for people who put in the time. I understand that you can lose points now, but its much more likely that you are going to gain points just by finishing. Then you get a majority of people in the top tier and it completely dilutes it. The matchmaking system they have in place promotes participation apposed to skill/effort/practice.
You don’t even own the game, so I am going to conclude you have no clue what you are talking about. Your points are meaningless because you don’t even understand the concept of FM7’s Leagues. FM7 is based off of “winning and losing” (gaining and losing positions). You gain points for gaining and lose points for quits and losing positions this means you have to put effort into the Leagues to progress up the Bands. The more consistently you gain positions each race, the more you move up. Even if the top ranks get diluted, it weeds out most of the crashers and much slower players. It may at most take 50 races to level up right now from Beginner to Elite if you are half decent. Someone who is bad at the game will require them to put in much more time or they might just struggle to improve in general. You won’t magically become Pinnacle by doing 1 or even 10 races, so yes it does take participation, but you don’t participation points for just playing. That would demean the whole system.
Stop replying until you actually have the game. You are just looking like you have no clue what you are talking about.
