Sorry if this has been asked. I have XBox Ultimate Game pass and i have been a forza horizon player for years. But pt 5 is different. no actual disc for the $99 version. But since i have game pass, would i be better off buying the premium bundle pack and play the game on game pass or should i just pay the $99 for the premium version. i don’t want to miss out on anything. if i use game pass for the game and buy the premium bundle would i miss out on anything vs buying the $99 bundle?
If it ever gets removed from Game Pass, you’ll miss out on having the actual game to play.
right. by the time that happens i’ll just buy it for cheap. but will i miss out on any exclusives buy doing game pass and the prem. bundle? or should i just get the $99 version
Content you receive will be identical between the two options you mention.
Pay for Game Pass to give it a shot. Pay for the full game to “own” later for an increased sense of security. You get the same content across both. You actually “own” the game only if you pay for the game itself. Game Pass just grants access through the listings during the time you’re subscribed. If you get to the point Game Pass is no longer worth what you’re paying, you’ll have to buy the game separately to continue playing it. Since you’ve been a Horizon player for a while, I recommend waiting a few months after release. Not only because of the deals that will likely arise in the next coming months, but also just to get a better feel for how the game really works as opposed to making a judgement solely on footage and word from people who are likely properly accommodated. Buying the game blindly is just a gamble, especially so when dishing out the money (“securing” your purchase) prior to the thing even being released to the public market. Pre-ordering makes sense only if you’re buying a disc version of a game because they don’t run out of digital copies. XD
tl;dr game pass is inherently just a temporary subscription.
Both options grant the same extra content and early access. I have gamepass and just bought the bundle.

So i ended up downloading forza through game pass and bought the premium bundle. i don’t see myself getting ride of game pass and if they ever do get rid of Forza i’ll buy it. thanks everyone for your help. i downloaded the prem. bundle but it only showed expansions 1 and 2 downloading. not the VIP or Car Pass or Welcome Pack. is that right?
That’s right, yes…the VIP, Car Pass etc should install on launch day
