is it possible to create a design and send it to another player for them to edit or change .
I’m working on a design that I want to pass on to someone else to finish and send back to me editable.
No that isnt possible.
You will only be able to share each others work as vinyls then rebuild, but this wont be shareable in game.

Spot on AB, however you can AUCTION a design with someone else’s vinyls on… & by the looks of it, the game credits you (me, in this case) as being the painter:
** by the way, Snake is aware I tested this out with his SHOCKWAVE vinyls. Not sure if it’s an oversight, it seemed a bit strange to me to allow one form of ‘sharing’ but not the other. The auction didn’t sell so I don’t know if I would’ve received the credits as the painter instead of Snake, even though they were HIS vinyls. **
Just so I understand what you’re saying here … I can spend hours and days creating a paint for a car … share it for free … someone else can download it and then auction their car off for profit based at least partially on the work I did as a painter? And the auction screen actually shows the downloader as the painter?
Yes, anyone can download a design from any Storefront for free, apply it to the specific car it was made for & auction it for as much as the price cap will allow. However, in the case of full designs, it appears the original painter is recognised…
Jon spoke about this during one of the launch day streams.
Basically, you can sell cars on the Auction House that have Paints or Tunes from other players.
When you do, the original creators’ names appear, and once the car sells, it counts as a download/use in their daily deposit stats.
In short: you are still earning CR even though you personally didn’t sell the car.
