Serious Rivals questions.

Hey guys, I’ve been testing different things in the rivals section of the game for about a week now just to see how payouts are calculated. I’ve made various threads on these forums and have received a couple answers but somewhat vague. Earlier I was testing to see how the “Rivals % bonus” is calculated. I did one lap and had 33% rivals bonus. I finished and did another lap right away and it was 28%… Finished and did another lap and it was 30%. I then tried 2 laps and it was 48%. I finished once again and did 4 laps and it was 49%. I see no pattern in terms of the amount of laps so im just left confused.

Also when doing rivals it usually always picks one of you’re fast friends as you’re rival. This happens even if you choose another rival manually by clicking the x option in leaderbords. Does anyone know if this can even be turned off? I swear it gives less cash due to the fact that you aren’t “beating” any more rivals even if your times are getting better. However once you have a friend who is really fast it just becomes a hassle to earn cash as well. I’m just hoping the rivals can just be chosen based on the person right above you rather than you’re friends.

To my knowledge the Rival bonus cash is calculated by your lap time and which rivals you beat on the LB. Your chosen rival is just for ghost does not affect payout.

Please feel free to correct or confirm.

The base payment is based on mileage so that is where you are credited for more laps.

The rivals % is based on where on the leaderboard your fastest lap of that session ends up.

Aight man, so that means that having a friend who I cannot beat, will not hinder my payout?

It does hinder your payout if you fail to beat a rival. However, the bulk of your payout is based on mileage and the XP that will cause you to level up. Run 20 laps and see how many times you level up, the bonus from that will be far more than the payout in CR from the rivals event. If you’re a VIP, it will be double.

Okay thanks mate.
