Serious performance issues after the update

Anyone else has crazy performance issues after the update?

Prior to the update I wasn’t getting below 100fps generally, sometimes dipping to 80 maybe. Now I barely get 60 frames, dropping to 20 sometimes with other cars on the track, the game became unplayable. Even the menu became stuttery.

Playing on PC. 6700k GTX 1080 32gb ram. Makes no sense. Any help?

I have a i7 6700k and a GTX1080 also, just with 16gb of ram instead of 32. Game is running flawlessly for me. It might pay you to make sure there isnt any programs running in the background on your PC that are eating up available resources. Also, have a look at your CPU and GPU temperatures; make sure they are where they should be.

Thanks for the quick reply, nothing running in the background, did try rebooting, temps are normal - recently cleaned the pc.
It happened after the update, everything was running flawlessly prior to it. Even lowered the video settings, still dipping down to 15, can’t stop alt+f4ing.

If this turns into a bug thread for the update, several of us had Forza crash last night when trying to spectate in a multi-player private lobby.

I have been having major slow fps loss after 2nd or 3rd race going down from 60+ to 20 or so FPS even below, this was since the 1803 windows update. However with this last major forza update now I even crash exactly as I am crossing the finish line on the 3rd race, happened already 3 times.
Any help would be appreciated.

I7 6700k
GTX 980 Kingpin
16GB Ram
Windows on NVME 960 Evo
Game on Samsung 850 pro 1 TB
Nothing running in background.

I’m eating my hat, right now. I experience exactly the same (major slowdowns after 3-4 repeated races), although in FH3. Interestingly, only the GTX 980 exhibits this issue, there weren’t any slowdowns on a GTX 980Ti / 1060 / 1080 or they need more repetitions.

Unfortunately, I don’t know whether it stems from Win10 1803 as I don’t tested prior to this update. I will check out Forza7 as I have several recorded runs so I can compare how they match up now.

Check out my site: http://boostclock.com/index.html - I have several Forza benchmarks with frame time and stutter presentation!

Please let me know if you found/find a fix, I only notice GPU load is 100% when this happens , even sitting in the menu its like 15 fps and very slow. like the game isn’t clearing Vram or something.

Dont know what to say to help but zero problems on mine still getting 150FPS plus on High settings @ 1080p and over 100FPS on max settings @1080

SO it may be a driver or a failed update causing the problem

PC specks are

Check that you settings weren’t changed. The game tends to do that.

Mine is working smoother than ever. Even load times are better. 6 core i5 8600k @4.5ghz, 16gb ram, 1080Ti.

Running Riva Tuner, MSi Afterburner and Corsair Link in the background (makes no difference running stuff in the background)

My temps are usually 40’s for the CPU and anywhere between 40’s and 60’s for the GPU. This is why I love this game. It’s very low on temps. Perfect for summer.

Stutter is still present at the same tracks in the same spots though.

I had same issue post update on XBOX also. Fortunately restarting the game cured it thank god as it was totally unplayable. Hope you PC lads n ladettes get a fix sharpish.
