Series 43 Playlist Preview - Summer Season

Given that we have not had any information on the season yet and there isn’t much discussion on it, I have started a thread with that I can gather/assume from the thumbnails.

The expansion pack screenshots are missing from every source I can find.

You’ve very rarely been wrong before so Big Thanks Mr C :+1:

The thing that I’m unsure of is the class for stunts and if anything is class specific in the forzathon because I could see the GTO getting multiple outings if the classes match up

The same with the games and chevy champ

Well the p/r’s don’t really matter unless they’re on the harsh side, even the expansions aren’t much of a bother 'tho it’s nice to know just for an excuse to do some practice and tuning :+1:

I always look at the PR stunts first because it is half the content I put out of a Thursday and the most viewed part of the first look videos

Then it’s the Trial, Treasure, Forzathon and Photo. Most people don’t seem interested in the championships anymore

I am holding off making a video to see if Max puts any information up tonight so I can get something recorded in the morning. I have got provisional cars for the championships and Trial but the PR and Forzathon are my sticking point at the moment

The three mustangs in the trial pic look like the 13 GT500, 18 RTR S5 and the Dark Horse which all start in A. I would be surprised if it’s not A.

Well then, a drag championship. I hate drag racing, usually just turn the AI way down when needing to do them. We’ll see how this goes.

A Ford Mustang (Hilltop Descent)

SVT Cobra '00 (TGM) - 1:55.682
SVT '03 (TGM) - 1:57.467
GT '24 (TGM) - 1:57.835
Dark Horse (TGM) - 1:58.485

All I could be bothered doing.

So both stunt pictures are the stock (looks-wise) 65 GTO. To me this would mean a D-class 65 GTO would be all that qualifies. I don’t recall exceptions to this offhand. Maybe someone else would remember if that happened?

I cannot find any previous events with the location and thumb to give an indication of restriction but RWD D class going cross country for the jump is going to be fun

A simple AWD conversion puts it in the C class and rally/offroad tires puts it up to A class

I feel like the stunts might be C class or above for the reason you mentioned about AWD swapping putting it in C class.

Can’t see them making us use a RWD car for these stunts.

True, I could get it down to 507 at best with awd. Though on stock tires there’s a 1500hp/1100ft-lb rwd D-class powerbuild available.

Tbh I would wait as long as possible to get the official information. I don’t recall them doing anything special with classes just to allow awd conversions. I could see them requiring a class upgrade in the weekly that would match the stunts class (edit - I think this is something you were suggesting) . I don’t recall this happening though.

:person_shrugging: just speculation

I’m at the same point here. I have my video laid out and ready to add the missing information and perform some PR runs

Hopefully we get some info overnight tonight (UK time) so that I can put something decent out tomorrow afternoon because at the moment, I’m confident on the championships and trial but nothing else

I have no idea about expansions because everyone who gets the info early, hasn’t put those out so I suspect they haven’t been sent them

My screenshots are taken from a YT video that I found and upscaled

634.84ft and 175mph on the stunts with the GTO still in D class.

560.07ft and 128mph stock.

The last time I remember a stunt having a class that made no sense was the two DLC stunts being 1990’s France in B class where none of the eligible cars started, the thumbnails suggests D class and it’s very rare a playlist event/task isn’t what the logical conclusion from the thumbnail is.

What tune did you use for the D class? I might make some test runs later just in case

At least when the playlists repeat, we can look back and see what we need but this series is devoid of any information

I made some runs and the numbers are a bit crap but this is on cloud so performance penalty there

Danger Sign: “Heights of Mullege” 158.14M Stock // 209.40 C Class // 159.52 D Tuned

Speed Trap: “Gran Puente” - 128.54 MPH Stock // 158.73 C Class // 138.52 D Tune

I put my own powerbuild one together, won’t be necessary but just wanted to see what it could do on the speed trap, as you can see with my results that extra 1140hp really is rather pointless when it only results in 70 odd extra ft.

If it’s D class the requirements won’t be anywhere near those anyway, both should be doable with the GTO stock.

I ran a non-drag tune on the Holden Torana and it held up pretty well on Highly Skilled difficulty

ABS/Traction/Stability all off with a auto shifting

I did post some runs yesterday but realised that I had used the wrong car so deleted them
