Series 30 Festival Playlist Preview

The 67’ really had me enjoying the trial today. Ran it three times lol. One with my tune, one with with the mustaff tune, and one with a tune by an old fh4 bud. Love that car…want to run the 53’ next, but we got all week haha.

Will run them tomorrow but I’m going to guess my Lexus test will finish with Zip’s LC500 in first, RC F/RC F Track Edition second/third, LFA 4th and SC300 5th.

@x_ShadowsBane_x LFA can just about be downgraded to A with AWD while still staying on stock tires using rear aero, rear tire width + rim size, heaviest rims and 10 speed gearbox, Offroads/Snows/Drags required for anyone who wants to upgrade anything on it though.

Can’t really tell a lot from the thumbnail but I’ll take a guess + run them on Granjas De Tapalpa, it’s a well balanced route so a pretty decent one to test on even if it isn’t correct.

Thanks. I already had an A800 drag tire build for the LFA so I made a stock tire build the way you described and tested both of them and got essentially the same time.

I liked the way the stock tire version felt to drive a little better so I’ll probably go with that one.

In case anyone is interested in next seasons expansion events.

Here’s some screenshots of the eligible cars for the World’s Fastest category.

Ignore any that can’t fit into A class.

Well my guess was terrible frankly.

A Class Lexus (Granjas De Tapalpa)

RC F (LogikJ) - 2:30.492
RC F (TonyKartRcr) - 2:30.551
SC300 (Mustuff124) - 2:30.651
LC500 (ziperrPL) - 2:30.893
RC F Track Edition (LetDaddyRace) - 2:31.568
LFA (haulmarc, stock tires) - 2:33.320
RC F Track Edition (Tredawn) - 2:33.704
LFA (LittleFlippy824, drags) - 2:34.113

May be a slightly different result if it isn’t on GDT but I’d expect the same general trend across almost all the street courses, RC F Track and LFA being well off the other 3.

JEEZ! Thanks So Much Mate! :+1:

sc300 with semi slicks worked for me a while back in that other trial we had. It took corners really nice.

I hope I’m wrong but I suspect that next week’s Lexus trial is going to be a lot tougher than last week’s Corvette trial.

I did a quick test of the first 5 on TheGillesMuller’s list and I think I need to do more testing perhaps reducing the number of AI and introducing traffic.

At the moment I’m favouring the 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition with a tune by LetDaddyRace or the 2015 Lexus RC F with TonyKartRcr’s tune.

I don’t normally test vs Unbeatable but seeing as it looks like msb struggled a bit I thought I’d give it a go.

Zip’s LC500, night + clear weather…

Passed the lead drivatar at 51%, took the first left pretty poorly and smacked full on into the rear of one of the drivatars just before the roundabout

I overtook the AI in my RCF 2015 at 17 percent on unbeatable. That is all I test my cars at for the trial. The way they act changes right before the trial I noticed…running rivals does little to prepare you for dodging and avoiding the maniacal AI… Good for tuning though.

update…zips tune should have thousands of downloads…wow. Just tried it ran a 2:39 cause I smacked a car…really hard…really really hard lol. This tune turns 90 degree corners on a dime…impressive.

all I’ll say about granjas de tapalpas is that the drivatars play it way too safe with the driving line. get creative on the turns.

TheGillesMuller is right I am struggling with this track and getting a decent time. I’m not familiar with the track and my first attempt with Zip’s LC500 was a disaster. I’ll certainly be giving it another try over the next few days.

I did a Lexus logo and wordmark. I won’t be sharing the pogo because it required vinyl masking so it’s kind of a pain to work with. I tried doing it without masking though and it’s hard to make the curvy/circle shapes look smooth enough.

I’ll also have new sponsor logos including Michelin, NOS, HKS, Megan Racing… and I think I can lock out an Injen. If anybody has any sponsor logos they’re interested in, let me know. Most of my prior car industry logos were commissions (Motul and Tag Heur were, anyway).

@SundayDriver585 so you started at the back and was already in 1st at this point?

Tony’s tune is quicker off the line + more powerful than LogikJ’s and it still took until 40% to pass the lead drivatar.

Mustuff’s drag tires tune, passed 5 of the drivatars a bit earlier than with Tony’s but still ended up in exactly the same position at 17%, briefly passed the lead at 32% but only clearly passed it at exactly the same place as Tony’s at the roundabout and finished 0.317 slower.

maybe he meant 71% - it’s an easy typo, and exactly where I passed them in my first test :man_shrugging:t2:

Another typ0…and why I just canned my logitech g915 keyboard late last night. On a corsair I had as back up but gotta get something today. Logitech equated to money wasted as it double typed, didn’t type, or typed stuff I didn’t even press on the keys. That thing caused me nothing but trouble on here…Anyways…yes…71 percent, and the beauty of that tune is it’s ability to go into a turn fast and accel so quickly out of it. I have always been good at take offs…for some reason I switched from a thrustmaster controller to a regular xbox controller and 8bitdo and my driving has been much more responsive and smooth. Thrustmaster is overpriced in my opinion (or I just had a bad one and didn’t get the amazon warranty and hate myself for it).

by the way calling it now…this trial is going to bring a lot of grief to the average forza player. I think to a lot of veterans as well. Street races never go well in trials to begin with, but…that first turn is a real slidy arb/damping tune challenge trying to keep up around 160 mph with the unbeatable AI and hang it cleanly.
