Hello, I’m a player who is a heavy Forza Horizon series grinder. At some moment you guys announced that PC users can play Forza without the Xbox. This is one of the great updates - Korean voice support, especially including the update that you guys continuously approached non-English-speaking players. However, I believe it isn’t quite satisfactory that the language of the narration voice has very limited options. I just want to suggest and request it would be great if you can at least consider a separate language option so that no matter what users choose system language, they can separately pick voice language as well.
I’m one of a few Korean Forza Horizon players and one of Donut Media fans, so I’m very used to listening to original voices in the Donut Media community. I believe other Korean users may think the same as I do.
Please consider sincerely deciding on particular voice languages despite picking a system language.
Thank you.
Hi, I’m from Hong Kong and currently experiencing a similar situation.
After the recent update, Playground Games added the Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) voice support.
As it is a game made in UK, it is my preference to have the voice in their native language (English), rather than a localized voice option.
Also, most of the Hong Kong people are using Traditional Chinese characters, speaking Cantonese and English, but Mandarin is not commonly used in daily life.
It will be great if the language and voice option can be separated, so that I have the option to revert the setting back to [Traditional Chinese text + English radio] that I am playing in the past year.
Thanks a lot.
Yeah the Mandarin voiceover just doesnt sound right to me. I wanna use the Chinese UI but the voiceover just doesnt sound as good as the English one. Guess I will have to switch to English UI until they can separate them
Couldn’t agree more, and this should be an easy feature to add that will greatly enhance the user experience
This feature is a must, as a Cantonese speaker, after the latest update which added Mandarin voice become very annoying, my temporary solution is to change the language to English.
Hope the developer understand and improve this situation.
Couldn’t agree more. It is silly and inconsiderate to bundle audio and visual language together. Please make them separate options.
Couldn’t agree more. I prefer the original voice and Korean subtitles. They have to give us options. We are the rightful owner who paid full price.
Since the game already has a English voice pack built inside the game, why not let us choose freely?
Agree.We really need this feature.
It’s so long we still not getting this easy option…
The Traditional Chinese voice even don’t have navigation voice in new Rally DLC
Pls just let us choose what voice language we want
You can try integrating any other AI voiceover or AI text to speech reader which supports Korean/Mandarin/Cantonese or any other voice you are looking for
Personally, I’ve faced many problems with the built-in voice support hence started using a separate AI for this purpose and the results are far better too
Absolutely, your suggestion for a separate voice language option is noted. We’ll keep that in mind as we work on improvements. Your support as a Forza player and Donut Media fan is valued. Enjoy the game! If you’re interested in AI voice over, you might find it useful in expanding voice options in the future.
Agree! As one of “Traditional Chinese” community. I can tell that most of user don’t like Chinese voice over! We needs the OPTION to set voice and text language separately! We have already used to listen English voice. We more love listen original laguage voice over in any animes and games.
Yeah, really do I want the UI language and the voice language will be seprated, for ex. I use Ttraditional Chinese UI but I can listen to English Characters’ voices.
Not If I choice Chinese, I have no other choice to listen to Chinese voice.
The Chinese subtitles and Chinese voices are not synchronized, resulting in conversations that are not entirely consistent between what I hear and what I see. This results in a bad user experience.
Until February 2024, PGG had not responded to our suggestion. I come from Chinese Mainland. Before playing FH5, I was used to English dubbing from FH1 to FH4. Now I am very dissatisfied with the amateur Chinese dubbing of FH5. Perhaps PGG or Microsoft are proud of their localization measures, but this is just a smug disregard for user ideas.
