Seeker Championship Nurburgring Endurance Race HELP

Hi all,

I am in the process of trying to complete the seeker championship as it is my last championship before finishing story mode. I have been stuck on the Nurburgring Endurance challenge where you what seems to be an extremely under powered Castrol Honda Civic to complete 8 laps. My issue is that there are maybe 5 or 6 R class cars in that race that always seem to pass me on the end of the first lap and just run away with the race. I have tried turning all of the difficulties down + rewind to no avail. It seems as though that class should not be in the race as I may be able to get out to a head start and hold the lap, but once they pass the slower AI they always catch me and it’s all over. I have not seen this issue anywhere else, can somebody help me ? Do I need to create/download a custom tune to perform better? I consider myself a novice racer having played since FM3, but this has me stumped. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

You’re not racing the R class cars - if you load up the track and wait for it to load - then go to the next tab for race set up - look at the starting grid. You’re only racing the other S class cars.

It’s a multi class race, so you’re on track with a higher class but they are running their own race and won’t affect your finishing position.

Thank you very much! This has been completely unknown to me until now. Since you mention it, it makes complete sense now looking at the starting grid. Much appreciation to you my friend.

No problem, those endurance races are daunting enough without having to worry about beating cars a couple of classes higher than your own.

Cheers

Just to inform you since it appears you don’t know of it: A multi-class race is one in which multiple classes of cars, hence the name “multi-class”, race at the same time on the same track. Classes are determined by different BoP (Balance of Performance) rules such as max horsepower, min weight, tire type, etc. The classes are not racing with each other, they are only racing with the cars in their respective class. Usually there is an overall 1st, which is the 1st place car in the entire field, and 1st in class. 1st overall is normally ignored as a car in the fastest class will almost always get it. The point of a multi-class race is mostly entertainment-wise as slower class cars will create traffic for higher class cars, which can play an important factor in overtakes and strategy. Traffic can make or break a race for any driver which makes the race more exciting to watch. While most one-class races are predictable (guy who leads early on will most likely win), it’s anyone’s game in a multi-class.

So yeah, that’s the kind of race you’re doing, so only focus on beating the S-class cars. Sorry if that was a bit of unnecessary exposition but it’s something you should know in case you do more multi-class races in the future.

The R class cars are a pain!

I’ve got 6 laps to do and currently leading both classes (says so on the leaderboard at least, unless that doesn’t reflect the correct overall race results), but they are often slow in a few corners and still brake check (running on Pro), but with some careful weaving on the straight I can keep them generally behind me for the most part even with their extra power and speed!

Wow… I did not know it was multi class. I spent the entire race doing everything I could to block the faster cars. I was abe to hold them off and win but I was thinking the entire time how stupid the race was. Man I guess I should’ve payed better attention! I could’ve saved myself a lot of stress.

I was doing everything I could to block the cars at first, then I noticed when they passed me I was still showing in first place.

I know all about multi-class racing as I have iRacing 100% and have done many multi-class races including 24 hour team endurance races. I just didn’t think Forza had multi-class races in the single player game.

Once I figured it out, I just let all the faster cars past, then let them get far enough in front so I could work on running clean laps for the leaderboard.

Same here. I held them off for three laps though before I noticed that “second” place was over 3000 feet behind me. While that AMG was banging the heck out of my rear bumper. Let them by and it was much more relaxing.

Forza has had multi-class racing in single player since at least FM4.

I made a point of completing the race without letting any cars pass. Pure Gandalf racing.

They were like a pack of piranhas on the long straight taking turn s trying to get down each side.

Do people not look up at their position on screen when people go past?

I was happy to let the R class cars pass me but all they did was sit on my rear bumper until I practically pulled over or deliberately went off to let them past which was annoying.
