Savegame appears to be corrupted after playing for 1h or longer (Hot Wheels DLC bug?)

Hello everyone,

I play Forza Horizon 5 on the old Xbox One. For some time now I have had the problem that after a certain amount of time (~1h) everything suddenly takes a very long time:

Switching in the menu
Changing the car
Saving process
Installing tuning
Leaving the workshop
Loading car textures

I have to wait fpr 2-2 minutes before it continues.

When I quit the game and restart it, the title screen takes a very long time to load and the error message appears:

“Accessing your save files took longer than expected. If the problem persists, restarting the system may solve the problem.”

If I restart the console and then the game again, I am asked whether I want to use the console’s savegame or the one in the cloud. I select something and then I can play normally again until the problem comes up again after playing for a while.

It mostly happens when I’ve played the Hot Wheels DLC, so I think it has something to do with it since the problem doesn’t occur otherwise.

What’s going on, what can I do?

Thank you very much!

yo, I haven’t found a solution for this but I’m having the same issue too. figured it would be nice to know you’re not the only one lol

Go-to settings and then clear data. Relaunch game and wait extra 15 minutes while it synchs. Can’t find a solution or cause but can get back in. You loose some campaign data if happen while trying to complete seasons.

Hi @eddy_mx . You can submit a ticket for forza support.

Hey I was recently having this problem on my Xbox 1 and I couldn’t load in or do anything but I deleted some things and got it working but it doesn’t fix the time..
