Why do we have drift zones with AWD or FWD cars? All AWD and FWD cars are banned on every single drift event around the world.
We should have leaderboards like this:
FWD cars = Sliding
AWD cars = Power Sliding
RWD cars = Drifting
Forza as a game series tries to be as realistic as possible as they can, but if we can go to drift zones and do drift races with FWD or AWD cars it is not realistic.
Drift cars are usually light- to moderate-weight rear-wheel-drive coupes and sedans, offering a large range of power levels. There have also been all-wheel drive cars that have been converted to rear-wheel drive such as the Subaru WRX, Toyota Avensis, Scion tC, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Dodge Charger, and Nissan GT-R. Early on, AWD cars without conversion were allowed in some drifting competitions, and usually the rules allowed only a certain percentage of power to be sent to the front wheels, but they are banned in most (if not all) drifting competitions today.
Please forza dev team fix this, you are teaching something badly wrong with this. There is no such thing like AWD drifting or FWD drifting, or even classes for doing drifting with AWD or FWD cars around the world.
Or do we just make it clear? RWD = Drifting, FWD = Sliding, AWD = Power Sliding. I try to play this as ālegitā way with RWD drift cars on zones, and want to know how good i am when drifting but on leaderboard we have also 2 different things as ādriftingā which they are not doing
They sell this game series as āsimulationā which it should be, so it should be simulation whit drifting also?
Yeah i know there is games for drifting also, but still we need to fix this. Its been like this around horizon 1. But on horizon 1 we spent hours whit boys drifting with RWD cars on online lobbies. It was fun back in days
Separating leaderboards for AWD/FWD/RWD cars should not be ābigā thing? You dont want to see how good you are with these 3 different type of cars on drift zones? I think if they do it, it will make more players to play this awesome game series when u can compete with your own class on drift zonesā¦
I know players who can make high scores with FWD handbrake cars and you cant compete with whole leaderboard, but if you have leaderboard for FWD then its different thingā¦ AWD + handbrake is too easy and RWD is the real thing to go
Okay then its your opinion, and you have speaked out mate. Now when we come to real life there is no event/race/championship on drifting with AWD or FWD cars only RWD carsā¦
I personally donāt like drifting, I look for grip rather than glide. I go with AWD because I find it easier and quicker.
Itās possible to sub-categorise by drive type, but this will complicate the tables while still catering to the most discerning gamers: Forza Horizon is for everyone (from the most casual to the most advanced).
The idea is to simplify the game to make it more accessible to this wide audience.
So not a bad proposition, but the application of it was in contradiction with a deliberately simplified game (gameplay, menus, difficulty, progression and rewardsā¦)
But not on drift championship or race (drifting is motorsport class)ā¦ and from that video you can see why we dont have AWD cars on real life drift races or events
I think game itself can see what car you are driving? So when u go tru zone you can see it like this:
Example is AWD car, you go tru drift zone you can only see other AWD cars on leaderboard. From menu you can then look tru for multiple class. Its simple to do like clickable panels or something like that?
Oh God, not this discussion again. Letās just agree that drifting is defined as going sideways in a controlled manner with a car. It doesnāt matter if you do it with FWD, RWD, or AWD. The car goes sideways and in this game you earn points for that. Having said that; it could be an idea if they added restrictions to drift zones or online events so people could specify what kind of drift event they want to do; either FWD, RWD, or AWD. or perhaps a mix of two of those. That would be fun in seasonal events as well!

YES, this is what i try to suggest here. We need to have separate leaderboards and events for FWD/RWD or AWD maybe i edit my heading for this

And for this drifting is:
Drifting has evolved into a competitive sport where drivers compete (almost exclusively in rear-wheel-drive cars) to earn points from judges based on various factors. And for AWD: AWD cars without conversion were allowed in some drifting competitions, and usually the rules allowed only a certain percentage of power to be sent to the front wheels, but they are banned in most (if not all) drifting competitions today.
How about you play your ālegitā way and not let it bother you how anyone else plays.
Mate i do it, and play it. I try to suggest edit for leaderboards. So we can have real drifting with RWD cars out of sliding with FWD/AWD cars. And this way its more competitive for players who want to do drifting as it is with RWD cars and then there should be for FWD/AWD cars separated leaderboardsā¦
Then you need to try real drift car with RWD and see it, there is multiple easy to use drift tunes on FH 5 like this Ford Anglia: 148 316 507 ā Try it out and come here to say was it good or notā¦ You need manual trans and use 3-4 gear when u slide, its easy to use car you just press pedal to medal and turn with corners
