Enabling some police lights for this car in the game would be great, here are some real life examples of this popular UK police car:

The police version also featured on TV in the documentation The Liver Run of an urgent organ transport which is now also a well watched YouTube video:

One of the rarest factory produced SD1 versions, the 1979/80 V8-S (or V8S - even BL couldn’t make up its mind on how to spell it as you can see in the ad) which was only built for one year. Yes, the golden alloy wheels were factory fitted standard and the Triton Green colour shown in the ad the signature colour of this model!

At launch Rover was very keen to demonstrate its association with the latest technology, hence picturing their new car in front of one of the (then leading edge) British Airways Concorde was a very welcome promotion:

Almost 20 years later Rover again used the Concorde as background in a press photo of the SD1’s successor, refer to the Rover 800 voting topic for reference.

The Rover SD1 was popular with tuners and modifiers at the time, there were those offering Turbo conversions for both the 6 and 8 cylinder models (Janspeed’s Twin Turbo pictured here in period)…

… as well as individualisations which appear to be slightly Rolls-Royce inspired, like this example from Wood & Pickett…

… and as a final example here is the KAT bodykit applied to a 2nd series SD1 (KAT produced bodykits for several cars for quite a few years, their founder Simon Saunders was a previous designer for Aston Martin’s Tickford department which may explain the similarity in styling and subsequent lawsuit, he later founded and still manages the Ariel Motor Company):
