Successor to Rover’s iconic SD1 Vitesse, a fwd five door saloon developed with Honda and initially using the Honda 2.7 litre V6, unlike its predecessor this car has no real motorsport pedigree (so probably best suited to Forza Horizon only) but it held the lap record for cars on the Isle of Man TT circuit for decades thanks to Tony Pond’s sterling efforts:

The later (facelifted) 2ltr Turbo 4cyl version was even more powerful and Rover also used the Vitesse name on the four door saloon as well as the stylish Coupe version of those:

The Mk 1 version was also briefly sold in the US in both 4 and 5 door saloon form, marketed as Sterling 827:

Here is a 2nd series (R17) top model Rover 827 Sterling saloon with Honda’s 2.7 litre V6 pictured in front of a BA Concorde (about 20 years after they used the Concorde as background in their Press Photos for first time, see Rover SD1 voting topic for comparison)

To contrast the last post, this an example of a first series (XX) base model Rover 800, the 820 (with no further letter after the number) which used the company’s old school O-series engine, mainly aimed at the fleet market:
