Get ready to own one of fastest track ready Mustangs ever produced by Roush Engineering, the Roush 427R Trak Pak Mustang. Each personalized with Jack Roush’s signature.
Finalizing a few details and it should be live by this evening. I will post all of the color combos later today. However, below is the classic white and black version almost complete.
Looks good mate but if this took over 6k layers you could really stand to brush up on your painting. Try to reduce the amount of layers you use, when doing more complex designs this will really kill you. Also for future reference, more layers does not necessarily equate to a better design.
I appreciate your feedback, however apparently you misinterpreted what I meant by stating over 6k layers and maybe I wasn’t clear on what I was saying. I was not boasting about the amount of layers it took to complete. I should have stated the total amount of layers it took to complete the Jack Roush USA signature. The main layout is around 3k layers and the remaining layers were used to make a nice clean Jack Roush USA signature. I wanted to make sure the signature was as clean and as sharp as possible for resizing, since H2 pixelates resizing a large layer group to a much smaller size. I also used a lot of smaller shapes to fix pixilation issues on the main layout. If it were any previous Forza title I would say it would be half or less of the 3k layers that it took me in H2.
On a side note, I have been painting in several Forza titles now. Since the majority of my paints are Roush replicas, most of my designs are not complex per say, however I do take the time to make them right and clean. I started painting in Forza 4 and since then just tallying Xbox 360 titles, I’ve had a total of 7,667 downloads in Forza 4 and 12,719 downloads in Forza Horizon 1. My point, complex designs do not always prove a superior design. In aspect to Race Replicas, I believe people respect a painter who pays attention to detail and replicates clean liveries.
I’m sorry if I gave off the vibe that I insinuate that simpler designs are inferior. I, in no way, believe that to be the case especially in Horizon where things are very road-centric. I agree with you on that. I did in fact misinterpret what you were saying and I am quite happy to see that you take such pride in the intense accuracy of your work so as to go to such great lengths to avoid pixelation. Keep doing what your doing, it would be wrong of myself or anyone else to tell you otherwise. I like your Roush designs and I plan on picking up this one when I am next on. In closing I would just caution you against design spamming but that’s another story and one that I believe does not pertain to you at this point. Keep up the good work.
@STANMAN Thanks man! Enjoy that orange Trak Pak. Surprisingly, that color was offered in the limited 100 Trak Paks made in 2008. Also, congratulations on your highlight in In Focus 10/22.
@Ace Ventura I appreciate your kind words. Also, keep leaving feedback on my WIPs. I value other’s opinions.
Also, for those of you who have already downloaded one of the Trak Pak editions this info is for you. I found a mistake on the 2 font on the left side and have corrected all colors and re-shared, so if you want to re-download the corrected model please do so!
I also reduced the color options from 7 to 5, removing the blue and vapor colors.
I will posting my next project in the near future. As always, thanks for coming by.
Thank you everyone for your feedback and I hope you truly enjoy this piece of history. Now shared, a special version of the Roush P51B Mustang. The B6 S markings are in tribute to Bud Anderson, one of America’s most decorated pilots. You can find more information about Bud here http://www.cebudanderson.com/. This was a blast taking photos of.
[Note: Equipped are Gram Light 5 spokes wheels]
Looks good! I only have one complaint though, you’re seriously gonna make me choose between running this and the 427? I can’t drive both at the same time!!!
