Been using rivals mode a lot in the last week. Normally, it gives me a rival a couple of milliseconds faster than I am. Yesterday, it started giving me drivers who are 5 - 10 seconds faster. I looked in the leaderboards, and there are loads of guys just barely faster. Not sure why it’s giving me superheroes all of a sudden. I mean, I love the vote of confidence, but it’s going to be a while before I can knock five seconds off my lap times. Anyone else seeing this?
Have you followed or friended a lot of people recently? Pretty sure Rivals dishes up anyone in your friends list who has set a time on that event before it starts giving you the next random on the leader board.

When you select your class and are looking at the tracks hit Y on a higlighted track. That brings up the leaderboard and you can select anyone and set them as your rival or view their run. I pick someone thats slightly faster than who I am trying to beat so I dont have the ghosted car drifting in and out of mine or not being able to see the line through their window tint

I’ve got the same problem with rivals mode since a couple of days. I’m playing FM6 for 3 weeks now and used the rivals mode a lot.
I used to get the rival with slowest time from the leaderboard which was also not the best thing but at least I was able to complete the challenge. Now it is always the first one from the leaderboard and I don’t stand a chance.
I did not accept any friend requests at all, hence there must be another explanation. Is there any option in the game menu tho manipulate the matching process?
I know how to set a rival manually from the leaderboard, but it’s pretty annoying to scroll down ten thousands on some tracks.
Any idea how to fix this?

Not that I know of. The closet thing would be to use the selection method I posted above but when you get the LB up hit X a few times to sort the list and pick “Near Me” which sorts the list to where you are on it. You can then pick the next racer in line or move up a few. You can even select your lap as a ghost here.
The biggest change in order comes when you post a clean lap time and that pushes you up the list past all the faster but dirty laps. Once you post a clean lap that one stays posted even though you may run a faster dirty lap later on. Only way to move up is post a faster clean lap.
It’s a server glitch right now in FM6. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.
Would have to agree, appears to be a server glitch, I have not friended anybody and cannot pick nearest to me, this needs to be sorted out!.
it must be… mine put my present best lap as my rival… so I’m driving against myself unless I manually choose a different rival.
