Imagine a company that has worked on the same series for 18+ years and is owned by 3-trillion-dollar industry giant but still can’t properly manage something as old & simple as a leaderboard.

I did see something similar before in Rivals and I think the time was removed.
Considering how long the game is out now, we shouldn’t be seeing times like that getting on the board.
I’ve given up on much more than top 5%. Mostly because the top times (and the associated replays) are pretty unrealistic, but the games “speed/track position based steering angle and rate” has also become a rather big obstacle, as well.
My inability to drive a clean lap without choking also has a lot to do with it, too LOL.
Bro… I feel this so much. “Alright, I nailed the first 6 parts of the lap. Just gotta bring it home…”
2 milliseconds later blows a corner and in the wall.

The cars I build are all about cornering speed- I absolutely cannot make up time on a straight with pure speed. And I never fail to follow up a perfect corner with an absolutely stupid mistake.
Case in point, my A class AMG GTR only has 360hp so I have to get every corner exactly right or the entire lap is wasted.
I will be so laser focused on getting the left hander after crossing the bridge at Maple Valley perfect (requires sliding the rear of the car slightly to get it pointed in the right direction, because of the games track position and speed based steering. 104mph entry speed, 96-98mph exit speed), nail that, and then immediately forget to brake for the next corner, or (if I’m being extra cruel to myself) I will get all the way to the last downhill corner, and completely screw it up by bouncing off the wall, or turning in too late.
I have been a full three seconds ahead of my record, and blow it every single time.
