Rivals "cheating", why is this aloud?

Why is it that every time I read in these threads when someone is trying to justify their unrealistic actions. They always give the same bogus excuse. “If the game allows it, then it’s not cheating.” If the game allows drag slicks in a circuit race. “The game allows it, so it’s not cheating.”

I would argue that playing a simulator, as anything other than attempting to be as realistic as possible, is not playing as intended. But that is just the way I see it.

In the end, I can’t say I care too much. I know my scores are respectable and I am quite content with the recognition I get for it. I’m not in the top 10, but I do well.

Well, to be fair I think one could only call it a simulator in certain aspects, while others are neglected a bit. For instance the drag racing guys don’t get a burnout, staging, or any real opportunity to build their revs properly because you can’t see your tach until the race starts.

I would argue that it’s only a simulator if you play it as one, with cockpit view and a wheel with a shifter on it. The way I play, with a controller and in 3rd person far, is most certainly not a simulator, ti’s just a racing game at that point.

At the end of the day it’s a game not real life. This is a never ending argument ever since forza rivals was launched on forza 3 with points drifting and if your allowed to do its not cheating simple why is that so hard to understand if turn 10 allow it how can it be cheating :joy: you guys are just annoyed because you can’t get the extra points needed because you don’t like turning back or using drag tires blahh blahh it’s boring excuses like that that fuels these pointless arguments . How ever I do think rivals needs a revamp yes .this is my opinion now guys :wink: you should get 3 laps , if you turn back it goes down as a dirty lap or disqualification as for anything else well it’s up to you how your car is set up.

P.s I don’t even do rivals I just found this to argument funny and had to comment and before you say it’s because you suck no been playing forza 10 years next year (I.e forza 1 onward) and was in a top points drifting team forza 4 so I know a little about it :smirk: I just find rivals a little boring and repetitive oops. I’ll just wait wait for the hate messages below :joy:
