Rivals Challenge - FH5 Edition

Yep. How many times have you been sorting for say B700, scrolling through the tunes to evaluate the PI footprint & you suddenly hit one that looks great, then you look down & realize an A800 has been thrown into your search?

Thanks for posting your build - I’m okay at driving & tuning, but I’m not so good at parts selection for optimal builds.
I used what you listed here, but I installed rally springs & dampers so I could adjust them to suit my driving style/preferences.
I got to #21 on the Cráteres Secos rivals leaderboard with a 2:49.964 in the 1992 Delta HF Evo.
I might make a couple more attempts after I fiddle with my tuning settings a bit more.

Stratos kind of sucks here sadly, handles well but gutless power wise compared to the Delta Integrale.

Did a 3:00 with Noobster’s RWD one first and a 2:56.210 just now with an AWD by EnderDKid.

Edit: And further proof as I go just under 5 seconds quicker in the Delta on my very first attempt + drive of it.

With that time, I’d say you’re a bit more than just “okay” If you decide to share your tune, let us know. Thanks

I do have a suggestion for better searching for tunes!

On topic: afk in the sun so missing this week’s rivals. Prob won’t get a chance even by weekend.

What’s more irritating is when you install it without noticing and wonder why it’s not in the car selection for a particular race… :upside_down_face:

Even more so when you encounter the “bug” which reverts say a B700 tune you applied to an A701, creating the absence of the car you need.

Oh that bug, yeah encountered that a few times, then having to re-install it to get it right…

Voted. Was sad to see only 4 votes :frowning:

Thanks all for the tune info! I drive manual by the way.

Off topic, but I was wondering how many of you are going to play FM? To make it easier, maybe you can just like this post to get let me know?

Ha. I’ll never catch up to the top drivers, so I’m in no position to claim greatness LOL.
There’s nothing magic about my tuning settings - Rayne’s build does all the heavy lifting.
I had already tried building a few other versions myself (plus the Stratos), and I couldn’t get faster than 2:55 until I noticed Rayne’s build here & tried it.
I always struggle to find the magic combination of upgrades that gets the best results.

possible to get a FWD challenge in the near future? while looking in the auto show/car pass/car packs i noticed that all FWD cars aside from this weeks abarth 695 are available to buy from the AS and none of them are classed higher than “A”.

edit: im wrong about all cars. i forgot about the couple MG’s in the game (which may also be an S1 class)as those cars i believe were “playlist” cars and you cant buy them in the AS
i mssed a few more, forgot to look thru the car collection which is why i missed a few of the FWD built racecars, and a couple others.

after going thru my garage i found 48 FWD cars 34 of those are in the AS

if you are interested in doing this ill put a list together of all the cars that came fwd

Some MG’s at least were Carpass cars as far as I recall, but that’s a picky detail.

yea i keep looking and finding more

D100 with no 3 wheelers has to be our next challenge.

Vs my '92 Golf ghost on the Marathon in a Ford Anglia, I was here when it finished lol…

It’s the start of my next big project/challenge, only this will probably take weeks/months and is far more stupid + useless than my Gauntlet testing.

Does anyone have any idea what is/might be the best X class car for the Marathon?

Would be in for a FWD challenge but only with some restrictions.
No Drag tires builds on B700 for example.

Never have used X but for a start I would pick a Koenigsegg CCGT with the 1 MW Agera swap.
The Brabham and BTTB have more lateral g but not such a powerful engine swap.

But maybe the Sesto FE. Can’t recall if it has the Aventador V12 swap.

“sad noises intensifies”

cross country, fwd, B class, no drag tires ??

Down to 2:58.145 beating my own :ghost: by 1.468.
What caused the biggest change in order of likelyhood imho

  1. Switching to a tune by @Tredawn :+1:
  2. Practice (note it was only my fifth run since my previous best
  3. Using a PC monitor instead of a TV
  4. Using a spare controller (exactly the same type as the other one)?

It wasn’t being less careful at the last ‘straight’ as I was already in front there. Although it is weekend it’s still a One S time.
