I’ve had limited time so far but am trying to focus on actual rally cars. Anyone got a tune for the 04 Lancer? There’s some low 1.11 times in that.
Sepi’s FA tune looks like about how I’d build the 04. Though, among Lancers, I suspect the one to beat is the 99 Lancer tune from Rocklxd. Should do mid or maybe low 09s if you don’t mind the LS+CSC+Aero combo.
Wouldn’t use Rock’s ‘99 lancer tune. Doesn’t turn well enough for scrambles. Might be better for trails.
Sepi’s ‘99 off-road tires tune was better. 1:13.440 in that build. Others were slower, including the ‘04 for me.
I’m going to try to build my own ‘99 lancer that’s suited for this scramble.
Does anybody know how to tune out these cars back ends from spring boarding up in the air, on the jumps, just before the down hill part?
My ‘99 lancer tune is almost front flipping when landing the first jump.
Never used to do this to me in horizon 4.
Tire pressure issue?
Edit: nevermind….it’s just playgrounds complete lack of understanding of physics again. Apparently you need to set rebound to match a race car on a race track in order to land a jump properly.

For the Evos/Imprezas I mostly use stock suspension on a Dirt build. Imho they are soft enough with sufficient travel and I’ve not experienced such quirks on this track yet.
That was my next step. Remove suspension upgrades……but my gosh did they ever botch the suspension physics in this game. No wonder more people are using stock or race suspensions for dirt.
@Jezza14 i got down to 1:13.140 in my own ‘99 lancer build for this track. Better than anything I’ve tried but going to test Rayne’s no suspension build first before sharing.
Edit: LOL. Down to 1:12.806 after removing the suspension upgrade.
. Spring boarding problem solved. @Jezza14 with your skill level, you should be able to get into the 1:09’s with my build.
The ‘99 lancer tune is called “A scramble” like the rest. Just search my gamer tag. I’ll see if it shows up in my creative hub and edit the post with a share code so that people can try it, if so desired.
Edit 2: cool….creative hub is working today. ‘99 lancer tune share code: 387 047 050. Let me know if the diff is set to high.
I did a bit of work on actual rally cars when I set my original WRX 04’ time - must have been 6-8 months ago. It really irked me how uncompetitive actual rally cars were.
A similar R500 build to zippers with a default tune beat my WRX time by around 2 seconds.
Ran a few in the Opel Manta & definitely think it has potential; anyone have a suggested tune for this one? It is nice driving the course in an actual rally car.
One of my fav cars and one i’ve tried already but so far I cant beat my svo run…
It’s annoying because every run I feel i’m slaughtering the course only to lose it in the final dirt section. Anyway, I digress, if you want to try my old tune i’ve been using it’s called Rally and the code is 790 475 521
Hope it helps.
Great, thanks, I’ll give it a try, but I agree, haven’t been able to get the same times out of it as others.
Agreed, I’m happy with my time but I’m convinced I was missing something in the last dirt section too, never felt like I could find a smooth line.
Nothing compared to the 1st corner of the dirt section though, this week has made me despise what was already my most hated corner on any track in the game even more.
@AudibleJam509 I’m running your 99 Lancer tune and loving it! I’m never challenging the top drivers so sticking to this for now, currently at 1:12.773… I’ve been half a second quicker with an almost non-existent tap on the wall after the water which is so incredibly frustrating! One time it’ll all come together lol
Sweeeet….and thanks for the add!
Yeah, it’s a gooder for sure. Can’t beat ziperr’s caterham but it gets close for me.
Yeah, Kapien’s “A dirt V2” tune for the Opel Manta is great. More of a balanced tune but has been useful for sure.
I’ve been using one called “Top Rally” by Pawa7thEbEsT
I’m down to 1.10.904 so far after a few laps. Very nice to drive. I see Bedlam has done a 09.7 in the same car though, so it’s very competitive against the Caterham.
Due to personal circumstances I will be able to really have some for goes. Did a few ‘investigations’ , like this track a lot. The Manta would have been one of mine must have tried this here.
Hope all is well Gab
Tried some runs in the Opel & Lancer using the above tune I mentioned & Audible’s for the Lancer. Great tunes, but I personally wasn’t able to get the quicker times I could in the Cat. Finally got down to 01:13, which was a personal goal.
Tried your Lancer 99 tune, great tune, will definitely be keeping it in my garage. Couldn’t beat my Caterham time though ![]()
