So, I just bought a second R32 for the daily. Added LS3 + CSC + drag tire….and it was still in b class 
Eessh……this thing is stupidly fast in b class just by looking at the stats/specs in the menu…never mind tuning.
In A class I stuffed in 855 HP. Could have added more but testing it with weight reduction.
Edit: definitely wouldn’t use this set-up online….lol
Edit 2: drag tire set-up using rear aero? Mine was a lot slower than expected……maybe have to get used to it.

Clearly I’m doing something wrong….only 2:12.900 in a drag tire R32 build….garbage time for me.
If anyone has the time, I would appreciate a build/tune setting list, if anyone is willing to share.
Switching to street tires.
I currently have rear aero, drag tire, 50/0 front diff, 100/15 rear diff, and 70 center diff. Race weight drop as well….but might cut that down.
Edit: lol….dropped the race weight drop, added more power, kept the drag tires, and set max speed to 185 mph: down to 2:08.896.
Amazes me how ineffective weight drop is compared to previous horizon games….even on road courses.
GoodReiShun’s purist’s slayer build is veeeery nice….2:05.893….needs a lot of throttle control but wow….’97 was faster overall for me, so far.
If anyone has a drag tire ‘97 build, I’ll try that. Just post the share code.

For some reason R33 is working best for me.
Despite having 70HP less than R32/R34 drag builds.
R32 - above 240km/h had much more drag, maybe should have tried without a wing?
R34 - had big problems with braking, on plus side it has 6 gears
I kind of liked drag tires build. For me it was much easier to control that cars than street tires builds. Maybe it just suits my driving style better?
But if I would have to choose tune to use in Horizon Open (road) I would still pick rally tire build. Much more versatile.
Yeah, that’s ridiculously easy to drive. I’ve gone fractionally faster than @ziperrPL but there’s at least a few tenths more time there, as I’m losing about several tenths on launch for some reason and I was also super cautious at the last corner.
These times seem to be about 2 seconds quicker than the best AWD times excluding our Skyline runs.

so why does the drag tire build so incredibly well on this track? is it because of the 4 to 5 long straights and the many tight corners you have to take slowly anyway?
You would need to ask someone with more knowledge with tunes/tracks/meta. Maybe Jezza will know?
My guess: R33 is great handling car (part of it is 4 wheel steering) + rivals tracks are dry + street races favor power
@Jezza14 I swear I’m using that shared tune. Can’t tell why I’m launching better.
I’m also shifting into 2nd before “GO!” disappear, but your ghost is loosing even in 1st gear, so that probably won’t help 
I want someone to beat that Bone Shaker. GTR can do 1:58.
Seems to be a weird fh5 thing. There’s been a couple of cars where I’ve launched slower but the Valhalla I seemed to launch quicker. It’s quite a big gap though here - feels like I’m 3 tenths down by the end of the straight.
@ziperrPL not bad sir! Not bad at all. Down to 2:05.159 with your build/tune. Can’t get anywhere near that in the R32 ‘93.
OT but gratz @BedlamBorealis on the current WR. Love your lines. I’ll try beat it after I have dinner and while it still lasts.
Edit: I think I can push 3:26 flat with my current tune but not any faster. Be interesting to see how far people can push it in the future. Definitely a fun track. Thanks again for your lines. They helped immensely.
Horizon rivals ghosts set in the last series apparently no longer work. I don’t think I was going to try and chase down Zip’s highly impressive 58.8 in the Skyline but I definitely won’t now! Great time Zip. Fastest non Dart I think.

Well, there was some mistakes in that run, so… maybe.
On the other side, that 1:58,8 was my best run. Have not run faster with rewinds.
@Jezza14 Do you want to use new routes here? Or can we set times with anything?
I will be using new routes, so preferable not to set fast times at all of them!
When is the next rivals challenge? Seems like it’s been forever now lol

Wouldn’t it be nice if rivals would record our best time for say 10 different cars per board. By default the leaderboard only showed the single best time per player. But we could filter the leaderboard and display all player times with different cars and even filter by car model/manufacturer.
