Reverse Goliath?

Is there a way to reverse the Goliath course and run it backward? Or can an event or race be built or made where you can design your own course? The Goliath is getting a bit tiresome.

Pretty sure that is a lot more work than you might think. And before you spout off ‘This game does it’ remember that the technology behind games can be very different and most game development decisions are made based off limitations.

So I would like to ask a dev if we can create a route on horizon 3 or just pick a preset route to create a race (not as fun)?

The latter. We looked into allowing actual route creation using the entire road network, but it was a colossal undertaking that would have made us cut other really important features. The good news is, these are routes that Playground’s designers spent a great deal of time tuning and polishing for fun gameplay, and there are a lot of them to choose from (the final # is still not locked, but there were over 80 of them last time I checked, and remember that you can select multiple times of day and weather scenarios for all of them, too. So there’s a lot of options.

They didn’t even have to add a ‘Route editor’ just add an option to make the race go in reverse
You literally double the amount of courses by adding that feature.

Yes, a reverse function is not available for every route as there are a few that jump off cliffs etc, but for 90% of tracks it is an option.

If this ever happened I wouldn’t be surprised if they reversed them all - including the ones with cliff jumps - after all it’s no different to FM6 having compulsory pitstops on tracks without a pitlane

Seriously though, this is one for the wishlist for sure.
